While I was getting set up for a cute pose… my second shooter was snagging this alternate angle of the pose! 🤯😍😍😍

A second photographer doesn’t just take a few pictures during important moments. They run, carry, charge batteries, keep everyone hydrated, relieve you for potty breaks, make sure moments aren’t missed if the lead needs to drink-eat-or-potty, set themselves up for alternate angles, clean lenses, wipe screens, and get great behind the scenes images.

They also help carry wedding gowns, hang dresses in special places (which sometimes means spiderman style church wall crawl, standing in pews, standing in chairs, using ladders, or climbing/bending trees), help stack rings in ways that defy gravity, come up with ways to incorporate flowers in all detail images, bounce ideas off from, chase livestock in to and out of the shot for photo requests (and for my crazy obsession), learn new equipment on the fly, troubleshoot issues in live time, act as a wind break, scout out perfect locations for photos, bustle gowns, remove hair/grass/sand/leaves/insects from the wedding party clothes during photos, and sometimes drives us safely to and from.

Can a single photographer photograph a wedding… YES! And an assistant is good but a second shooter is better. Having a second person makes your day run smoother and ensures NOTHING is missed while you’re trying to do it all…

Not to mention that my team makes the wedding day SO MUCH FUN! We laugh and whole heartedly enjoy every second of working your weddings 🤍🤍
