SARASOTA - I was just briefed by our Health Director on a Listeria outbreak that has been traced back to Big Olaf.

Big Olaf is great, but take a break (they are pulling their product as well) and throw away any product you have at home.

Symptoms usually show within days (flu-like, diarrhea, fever) and go away, BUT can get more serious if you aren’t treated for Listeria. Symptoms can start 2 to 3 weeks after consuming the product.

So if you have eaten at Big Olaf within the last 3 weeks and get fever like symptoms, go get tested asap.

They can treat this, only becomes an issue if you don’t get diagnosed. Elderly + Pregnant women are most at risk.

Lastly - Big Olaf is great business, so once they are in the clear, let’s all rally together to support them!
