POV: you took a leave from your career as a teacher and decide to see what happens when you actually give your photography business your full attention 🫪

August was officially my first full month as a full-time photographer and WHAT.

I traveled for sessions 🤯 I Met new clients & photographed repeat clients. I got to see the most sunrises and sunsets of my life so far. I was able to support other small businesses at all hours of the day & had the energy to be creative with my own. I edited & responded to inquiries from my desk, my bed, and probably several other questionable locations. 😂

There’s a lot about owning a business that is uncertain and very much figure it out as you go…

but I’m so freaking grateful I gave myself the chance to find out what this could become.

Month one is in the books. I’d say it was a success and I hope to be on the up from here 🥹🤍📸

I think I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be at this time. Thank you to everyone who has supported me thus far on this journey especially my amazing husband 🤍🫶🏼

I’ve know Stephanie and her family since we were preteens. In fact, she took chances on me way back in 2012 when I first started doing photography as more than just a hobby. I got to take her son’s first Christmas photos and his first bday photos. Now, 14 years later, I get to take family photos of not just her son but her, her mom, sister, and her son’s dad. How cool is that? And then the sun decided to peek out and made the night extra special. This is such a beautiful family and I’m so glad she trusted me again 🤍🫶🏼

It’s really only fitting that the sun was out and shining for this early morning session because this family was full of sunshine and energy ☺️☀️ The night before got rained out so on their last day of vacay we were able to reschedule and I have to say - it fit their vibe much more than a rain shower.
