So… between our well collapsing, listing our house for sale, buying a new home and moving 200 miles away, I didn’t have much time to do annual birthday photos for my “Lukester.“

In the moment, with so much going on, it was a big disappointment not doing these photos in my studio. HOWEVER… who knew this impromptu photoshoot on the beach, of Luke enjoying his new favorite activity would be the perfect way to show off his joyful, adventurous spirit! I may be a little late in posting, but THIS IS 9! Luke you will always make me laugh the biggest laughs ever, you are always up for new challenges, you are my creative math whiz, and we all love you more than you’ll ever know 💕 You are a ray of sunshine, keep smiling, and catching those waves 🌊😎☀️

I’ve been MIA for a while on here, primarily because getting a house ready for the market is a lot of work! Add dogs and kids to the mix and you’ll end up bonkers😵‍💫 I’m getting nostalgic about some of my favorite spots in the house already, and we haven’t even moved! I am for sure going to miss this home, and all the space it has to offer 😩 Our open house is this Saturday. Let me know if you want details, or maybe you’d like to schedule to see it ahead of time 😭

We're moving 😱 ... ⁠
I've thought about what to say, but in the end I just have to say it. Most of you know I'm a military spouse. We've been so lucky staying in the same home for 10 years, while my husband's commute changed directions. This time however, the change of station is too far away for a commute!⁠

This is a bittersweet move, we'll be living in Virginia Beach, hooray... BEACH!! You all know me, and you know I love the beach. At the same time, we are going to miss our friends, our children's wonderful school, and our neighborhood so incredibly much! Personally, I will also miss my clients, so many of whom have become good friends over the years 😭 I'm forever grateful for all your support, and I am so lucky to have met each and every one of you, and especially your adorable kiddos. I will truly miss photographing them and watching them grow up. ⁠

What's next for my photography business? Good question, if you have ideas let me know 🤣 I'm sure I'll need some downtime as we settle into a new place and routine, but I know a camera will always be by my side. Be sure to follow along if you're interested in our journey, and hopefully I'll be sharing some peaceful seascape imagery soon enough! ⁠

We have a few months until our move, so keep an eye out for my calendar and what sessions I can continue offering until then. This is definitely not "good-bye" we will be back for visits I’m sure, and if you ever find yourself down our way, please reach out!
