Little update for y’all 👁️🙃
Man… a corneal abrasion is no joke — especially when you’re a photographer.
About a week ago, a sweet little ray of sunshine accidentally poked me in the eye with her fingernail (She felt absolutely terrible 😢). It landed me in urgent care, where I was prescribed an ointment — which, by the way, is a wild sensation to experience in your eyeball 😅
The first couple days were incredibly painful, and my vision was super blurry. While it’s been improving, it’s still not 100%. My eye feels weak and only wants to focus for a few minutes at a time. It doesn’t stop me from functioning day to day, but editing for long periods (though I am trying) tires it out really fast — as you can imagine.
So, as much as I hate falling behind, progress on galleries has been slower than usual this past week. I’ve already messaged the clients directly, but I wanted to also share here in case anyone is wondering where I’ve been.
I do think I’m in the final stretch of healing and hoping to be fully back within a day or two. If not… well, it’s back to the doctor I go 🙃. Say a little prayer for me, because I’d really like to avoid that.
Once I’m healed, you can bet your b***y I’ll be hopping back in at 200%. I’ve got a wedding gallery to finish and other shoots to prepare for — and I’m so ready to get back to doing what I love with clear eyes and full focus (pun intended).
Thanks for your patience and support — it means more than you know! 💛
