Today (might be) Roscoe’s 1st birthday! His vet gave him one because we have no idea when this little guy was born, or where he came from. The way he came into my life was nothing short of fate.. Last July, Chase and I were on our way back from Glacier NP and stopped at a gas station near Big Fork. Chase went to grab some burritos next door and a man in an old beat-up truck pulled up to me. He asked, ‘Can you take this puppy?!’ I said no because I traveled too much to have a dog... The man looked distressed and snagged a tiny puppy from the backseat where he was laying on a pile of garbage. He told me the dog tore up all his s**t and he was late for work. Roscoe jumped out of the window into my arms, and the man drove off. I thought I would find a loving home for him in Missoula, but he stole my heart within the first day of knowing him. He sat for me on command that day and was the most mellow, tiny pup I’ve ever witnessed. While raising a puppy has been challenging on so many levels, the reward has been unmeasurable. This guy wakes me up with kisses and gets me outside three times a day with his adventurous spirit. He’s gotten me through the toughest times with his unconditional love and cute belly. He loves coming along on trips in the van and even models for me from time to time.. I love this boy as much as I could love anyone. Happy birthday, Roscoe bud.
