I'm back!
After a few months of really working on getting things in my life taken care of I am finally back to the grind on here.

In the last few months I have started a new job, dealt with ongoing medical issues, fully paid off med bills, and taken time to work in my mental health, which I had not done through the past few years of struggle.

I'm happy to be back to it and hope you all enjoy having me back!

So what do these half exposures say and why would anyone do them?

So half exposures are all about showing yourself while maintaining your privacy.

I think we all want to be seen in some way but we also want to have our privacy and these shoots are a perfect reflection of that.

They turn the body into art. When we do these it's like painting with light. The minor adjustments are like little brush strokes.

Are you happy with the person in the mirror?

It's so easy to be our own worst critics. We love to look at ourselves and only see the negative.

But what if you focused on the good things?

Could you name very many good things about yourself?

Here is where I come in. The focus of every photoshoot is to highlight all of the good, beautiful things about you.

It's really not that hard because even if you struggle to see them and focus on them, there are a ton of them.

So let's change your perspective of that person in the mirror.

I love to do anything that shows the beauty of people! The fact that the body can be art fascinated me! I'm not going to stop doing other kinds of photos but this will now be a larger part of my style!

I have struggled so much with social media recently! Anyone else?

Some days I feel like I don't have anything original to post, some days I don't feel like I have anything people will like, and some days I'm just over social media.

But here's what I'm starting to tell myself: "this is my work and my art, the people who like it will like it, and those who don't.... won't" and that's actually kinda freeing!

I've worked with body paint a couple times now and let me tell you IT IS FUN! I'm so glad I offer it as an option for your session!

This particular shoot used it to represent some of her heritage and it turned out great!

It's always fun for people to get there and I hand them some paints and then they just get to create with it. Sometimes they paint themselves in a way that has deeper meanings while other times they just have fun!

Absolutely loving this shoot with . Usually I try to include a tip lesson on how to improve your photoshoot experience but not today.

Sometimes as artists we have to take a break from trying to sell ourselves and just show the work that we love and are proud of!
