🎓 All these last day of school & graduation photos popping up lately have me feeling extra sentimental. What a milestone for the Class of 2026! ✨

A huge congratulations to Korinne, Carter, Ellee, Madeline, Robert, Keegan, Kenzie & Harper.... it was my absolute honor capturing this exciting season of life through your senior sessions. 🎉

And parents...this moment belongs to you too. ❤️ From lunch packing and school drop-offs to late night homework, sports schedules, and somehow making it through the teenage years, you’ve raised some truly amazing humans. 👏😭

Wishing all of these grads the very best as they head into whatever comes next. I’m so grateful I got to play a tiny role in documenting such a special season. 🎓✨

KORINNE // DEXTER HIGH SCHOOL // CLASS OF 2026 🥁📚
Kori marches to the beat of her own drum. Literally.
A bookworm, band kid, and total old soul, she brought the coolest blend of rocker edge and vintage style to her senior session. We started at Hexagon Records and Malted Vinyl in Petoskey for some of my favorite shots of the season (huge thanks to both spots for letting us shoot there 🙌), then wrapped up outdoors with the fall color doing its thing.
Kori was such a breath of fresh air...her laid-back, genuine energy and quiet confidence were something special. Thank you Jaymi and Kori for all the laughter and easy conversation that made the day such a blast.
So excited to share these sneak peeks of a senior who truly dances, and drums, to her own rhythm. 💫

✨💚💜Aurora Hangover (noun)
ah-ROAR-uh HANG-oh-ver: The physical, emotional, and slightly ridiculous aftermath of chasing the northern lights.

Symptoms include:
💚Sprinting out the door in pajamas, sweatpants, or an outfit only acceptable North of the 45th Parallel at midnight
💚Regretting said outfit choice about an hour later when your fingers turn into popsicles 🥶
💚Standing under a modest green arc for ages, convincing yourself “this is enough”—only for the sky to erupt the minute you pack up the car
💚Riding the rollercoaster from quiet awe to full-body goosebumps as a substorm melts your brain
💚Arguing with yourself at 2 AM about whether you’re insane for walking away mid-show because you actually need sleep
💚Editing photos until 4 AM, then waking up wondering if it was all a dream until your memory card proves otherwise

Side effects:
Severe exhaustion, inability to function at work, compulsive photo-sharing, and an unshakable grin.

Prognosis:
100% worth it. Every. Single. Time. Because gratitude for witnessing that kind of Northern Michigan magic always outweighs the sleep deprivation.

📸 Best Photo-Worthy Hiking Spots in Northern Michigan

Avalanche Preserve in Boyne City is one of those trails that truly has it all. 🥾🍃 You can climb the 462 steps straight to the overlook or take the backside trail for the full loop (about 2.8 miles). Either way, the views of Lake Charlevoix and downtown Boyne at the top never disappoint.

It’s also a mountain biking favorite, with over 8 miles of singletrack trails designed by TOMMBA. 🚴‍♀️

Avalanche is a year-round gem — whether you’re chasing sunrise, sneaking in an after-dinner climb, or soaking in the fall colors. 🍁 Definitely one to put on your Northern Michigan hiking list.

CARTER // SEAHOLM HIGH SCHOOL // CLASS OF 2026 ✨
From Boyne’s Harborage Marina to the Charlevoix Lighthouse to the shores of Lake Michigan—Carter’s senior session captured both family meaning and classic Northern Michigan beauty. He brought such an easy confidence and great sense of humor, which made photographing him a blast.

As a varsity swimmer and water polo captain, his dedication and leadership really shine through, but it’s his genuine, down-to-earth personality that stood out the most. So excited to share these sneak peeks from this incredible session!
