Last month, we raised $165 through our canine fundraising sessions for UPAWS. Thank you so much to everyone who participated and supported such a great cause!

This month, I have a couple of exciting things in the works, along with lots of behind the scenes planning for the rest of the year.

While I take a short break from editing, I wanted to share what I’m offering for February:

Valentine’s Day Couples & Engagement Special 💕

What better way to celebrate Valentine’s Day than with a photo session for just the two of you? Whether you want to showcase your love, plan an engagement, or pull off a surprise proposal, I’ve got you covered! I’ll happily be your ultimate wingwoman for such a special moment!

From February 1st to February 14th, enjoy 15% off any Couples or Engagement session booked during this time. Sessions may be scheduled for a future date; however, a signed contract and retainer are required within the promotional period to secure the discount.

Hey everyone, welcome to the 2026 season 🤍

I wish I were kicking off the new year with lighter news, but many of you may have already seen what’s been happening locally. UPAWS is in urgent need of help after taking in 23 dogs and puppies who had nowhere else to go. Their resources are stretched thin, and right now they need their community more than ever.

Last year, together we raised $250 to support rescues that stepped in for 81 neglected Dobermans. That experience showed me just how powerful even small acts of kindness can be. This time, I feel called to focus that same energy closer to home; because our local shelter is hurting, and they need us now.

To help, I’ll once again be offering Discounted Fundraising Sessions, with 50% of every package donated directly to Upper Peninsula Animal Welfare Shelter. Donations can go toward general funds or much-needed supplies, whatever will help them most in this moment.

These sessions are more than just photos. While capturing your forever furry best friend, you’ll also be giving hope to dogs who haven’t been as lucky; yet. Your session helps provide food, medical care, warmth, and a second chance at the life they deserve.

This post is deeply personal and vulnerable.

My childhood best friend of 15 years, Charlie, has been declining in health. Lately, he’s been feeling unwell, struggling to get up, and we often find ourselves checking just to make sure he’s still breathing. My younger sister and I decided it was time to have a “Celebration of Life” session for him.

My journey with photography began by taking photos of Charlie, it only felt right to bring him back into the spotlight one more time, while we still can.

This session was both joyful and heartbreaking, but above all, it was incredibly meaningful. I know the day will come when we have to say goodbye, and while that thought is painful, there’s comfort in knowing we now have beautiful images that capture his spirit perfectly.

From this moment forward, Celebration of Life sessions will be offered completely complimentary. Everyone deserves to hold onto those final, precious moments with their best friend. 🤍
