On wedding days, we really make an effort to interfere as little as possible. We work hard to build a friendship and trust with our couples, and by extension their families and friends so that our presence doesnβt feel so much like an intrusion but rather a natural part of the day. β

For us, this has been the key to getting those βfly on the wallβ images where no one is really that aware that weβre even taking pictures. But thereβs a little more to it than that, and thatβs why we always take the time to ask our couples what wedding images they are most looking forward to. Thereβs no wrong answer here but I do find myself pleasantly surprised by some responses, like when Morgan told us:β¨β¨β

I donβt know why this resonated so deeply with me, but I took it to heart on her wedding day and kept it in my head while we documented everything. No specific instructions or guidelines, just moments where they were fully immersed in the day. And I love how it translated into the photos we captured, not just because I love the photos, but because I love how she and John set the intention to remember to BE PRESENT and to take it all in. β

Something I will definitely carry with me to future weddings β€οΈ
