Ashleigh Bing Photography is a branding and lifestyle photography company located in Prince George's County, MD. Spoiler alert: It was the best decision ever.

Photography has been in my DNA for as long as I can remember. My dad always had a camera slung around his neck, and as his unapologetic daddy’s girl, I couldn’t resist being pulled into the world of storytelling through a lens. By high school, I was the kid walking around snapping everything (and I mean everything) way before Instagram made it cool. We’re talking back in the pre-Facebook dark ages

! When people asked about my dream job, I’d confidently blurt out, “Traveling photographer,” like I was auditioning for a National Geographic documentary. Little did I know, that dream would be chasing me down later in life. After a not-so-gentle corporate nudge (read: layoff), I decided to ditch the daydreams and dive headfirst into photography full-time. Now, I’m all about creating bold, authentic, and jaw-dropping imagery that speaks to you. Whether it’s the perfect symmetry of a city skyline, the wild contrast in a black-and-white portrait, or the quiet elegance of a lone plant thriving in chaos, my work is designed to evoke those goosebumps and that familiar rush of nostalgia. I believe photos are more than just images—they’re little time machines that transport you back to feelings of joy, awe, and wonder.

I was recently called out for an old ass photo of me on my website. I know, I know... just like that old African-American proverb our parents live by: “Do as I say, not as I do!” It’s always the ones in the profession, that need the most help.. we are busy getting everyone else right that we usually neglect ourselves... Think about it, when was the last time you went to the hairdresser and their hair was actually done? I’ll wait..

SheROCKS 2017 “Photographer of the Year”, WOW!
The event was created to showcase women in the arts while creating ways to accelerate support amongst women entrepreneurs. Each year 14 women are showcased in performing and visual arts. SheROCKS honors distinct women whose efforts have paved the way for the success of other artists and women in business. The event was launched in 2013 by brand strategy firm Love Life Media, to honor a commitment to help women thrive in entertainment and business industries where they may not otherwise be recognized.
As someone who is constantly behind the scenes capturing memories for others, it is such a new feeling to be honored for something that I do not hardly consider work. Thank you!
