I'm back for the holidays! 📸 While I love capturing so many Christmas card photos, I also love getting the chance to tell a whole "family story"! 👀

Marissa came to me for some updated family photos but was totally okay with a less formal shoot. I love the personality of her family shining through here! Here husband trying not to crack his straight face, the kiddos splashing & running in their bare feet & dirty pants, the constant laughter & occasional tears. I can't thank them enough for showing up authentically to capture their story ✨🌿

Two years ago I adventured into the woods, Lucy strapped to my chest, to captured one of my favorite little magic family’s ✨🔮

These are still some of my favorite photos of all time because 1. HELLO?! Is KD not the Old Hollywood witch of our dreams?! 😍🥵 and 2. This is so authentically them! These aren’t props bought for a shoot and green hair & black nails aren’t out of the ordinary in their household. I love family’s who give me the opportunity to capture genuine moments that are a regular part of their lives 🙏🏼🥰✨

The best clients are the ones that keep coming back so you can watch their family grow 🥰🌱

My goal in photography this year has been to focus less on editing and more on capturing the best photo I can in the moment. I don’t want to fight the light just to match a specific ”style” so my feed lines up nicely. I want to flow with the natural colors and light happening during each shoot- no matter the season. Sometimes it’s bright and lush and sometimes things are more dull and dramatic. All of it is beautiful ☀️
