Happy Heavenly Birthday, Beautiful.

The last photo I ever got to take of you. Just a few short weeks before you were killed.

In true Katie and Auntie fashion, we were trying our damndest to get out of taking these sunset photos in Michigan. We were the queens of canceled plans, especially if it meant we didn’t have to get ready. She didn’t have “anything to wear” and I was dreading getting a toddler ready at 8PM. As we expected, it was a complete disaster…. But, now more than ever, I am so thankful we did it.

You should be here, celebrating the big 20 with everyone who adored you. With all your favorites…wings, cookie cake and a Super Bowl halftime show. You are terribly missed.

Just like every night since July 25th, we’ll be waiting to see what colors you use tonight. 💜
