I was happy to finally get to spend some time in on my quick trip up the . This was the spot where the changed from a grueling overland trek to a treacherous ride on the river. Either that or choose the Barlow Cutoff route and risk getting stuck in the mountains in the winter. It’s one of Oregon’s oldest towns and I thought it was pretty cool. The National Neon Sign Museum and Fort Dalles were both really interesting as well.

Stopped in today to visit Idaho’s oldest continuously operating bar. It was closed and apparently has been for years. ...

Stopped in today to visit Idaho’s oldest continuously operating bar. It was closed and apparently has been for years. Thankfully I’ve been to several of the runners up and it was still a nice town and not too far off my path. Long live the new king of Idaho bars!

A few more shots from my time in . has really grown on me this year the more time I’ve spent there. I had a delicious roast dinner (and a couple of Spanish coffees) at Huber’s, the city’s oldest restaurant and really enjoyed the Victorian speakeasy vibes at Conspirators Coffee. The roses were beautiful in and I absolutely loved the , an absolute gem of a pub!
