A Seattle day trip. Whether you’re a local or visiting for the World Cup, may I recommend Victoria as a wonderful day trip. This lovely little city is a hop skip and a jump from Seattle and the transport options are so easy and actually fun that they’re a part of the experience. The conveniently sails from Pier 69. It has comfy assigned seating, food on board and the Captain often shares when to go to the decks to see Orcas. Riding a high speed ferry is really a unique and fun experience. If you need to drive to the ferry, is a great way to reserve ahead (and the clipper will validate —- follow their instructions! for the Bell/Elliott garage.) Make sure you check ID requirements and bring proper paperwork if traveling with one parent of the child. All in all, super easy though. The Clipper will even provide transport to Victoria attractions if you set up that package.
Option two is by air! Take a seaplane from any who offer, such as . This is an AMAZING way to get there quickly AND have an incredible experience along the way. Make sure you understand what you can bring but seaplane operators are super friendly and can answer any of your questions.
While Victoria is perfect for a day trip (you can easily come back the same day) if you choose to stay overnight there are a plethora of options in this walkable city. The by is perfect and their Afternoon Tea is not to be missed! We enjoyed the Kids in the Castle package this time (not a paid collab, just sharing). Super fun! The Gold level has had an outstanding reno and truly is in a class of its own. Overall, when you have the chance, the .accor Fairmont properties in Canada are something truly special. So friendly, and so classy. I adore .
Lastly, don’t forget about activities. The is world class. Buy your own tickets or roll them into a package. It’s about a 30 minute drive so securing the coach is really helpful. Or, just stay in town and walk the beautiful streets for the small urban neighborhoods and beautiful houses.
We ❤️ Victoria!
