Say hello to the new me - so happy to be in California - can you tell??

Doing the outside stuff now (creating a Batuu-like vibe in our backyard) is an inspiration for when it’s cool enough to sit in my studio and do the inside stuff (making jewelry 🔥, sketching, polymer art, painting stuff, etc.)

I’ve become quite the plant nerd - i’m getting good at reviving those clearance shelf plants from Walmart and Home Depot!

Appreciating the metal arts I see around here. Reminds me how lucky I was to be part of studio in Jamaica Plain. Being around the Stonybrook metal artisans that create awesome creatures from scrap metal laid a foundation for how I approach my art.

Trying to think of a clever 🦉 pun that doesn’t sound like a tired dad joke…

Anyway, this twosome is looking for a forever home. Anyone looking to adopt a couple of tiny owls? They are very low maintenance. Care and feeding is minimal. They do like to be next to their person as much as possible, even in the winter!! They enjoy snuggling under a warm flannel or cuddly scarf - you’ll know they are there keeping you company!

They’d love to be home for Christmas! 🎁

The LAST custom for MBL (MA). Antiqued paperclip chain with swivel clasp, handmade link-by-link, from rolled and shaped stock sterling.

My studio is packed up and I’ve sold my bench and other hard-to-transport items.

I’ll be selling some remaining OOAK pieces here on IG soon.

I’m definitely looking forward to my new studio, 3,000 miles and a few months from now!

OWLS! 🦉 🦉 🦉

For some reason, these enchanting birds appear frequently in my jewelry designs without any planning. I thought I would try do and do them a bit of justice and learn how to properly sketch them and understand their anatomy.

I learned the Audubon Society was offering free online owl drawing classes and here are the results!
(I know I know. Not that good 😐. It was my first attempt at drawing!!) I have one more class this coming week and I can’t wait!
I’m also going to be checking out the instructors website, - he has so many FREE resources on how to draw birds, animals, insects - and their environments (which all inspire my jewelry designs) I’m gonna take advantage of these wonderful offerings as I’d like to be able to properly sketch and represent all things nature that inspire me and my jewelry designs!
