“We’re not doing this for the post.”

This is part of a recent conversation with one of my couples during their final check in call before the wedding, and it was such a crystallized moment of why I do what I do.

In our digital age, we’re used to treating photos as these brief snippets that we share online and maybe never even look at again. But for your wedding photos? We’re doing things differently.

My approach treats your wedding photos as heirlooms, tangible parts of your love story that you’re going to pass on for generations. They’re meant to be held, adored on the walls of your home, and thumbed through when you pull down your album from the shelf.

If you’re looking for a Cape Cod wedding photographer, a Boston wedding photographer, or a New England wedding photographer, and you care about creating intentional memories, I’m your girl! Message me to see if we’re a good fit.

I think I knew Tyler was the one for before the proposal ever happened.

Not because of some giant grand gesture, speech, or a perfectly planned moment.

It was because he slow danced with Morgan’s mom at a wedding. (Shout out to .stickney for a perfect day!)

Just naturally and quietly, like it was the easiest thing in the world.

And I remember standing there thinking, “Oh. Yep. That’s her person.”

I’ve worked weddings alongside Morgan since 2020, so getting to photograph this season for her and Tyler feels incredibly special. I still remember meeting him for the first time at her best friend’s wedding and instantly understanding why she adored him so much. He keeps her laughing nonstop, and somehow manages to bring this calm, grounding energy everywhere he goes.

Also, slight plot twist: a few weeks before the proposal, I had a dream Tyler proposed to Morgan.

I told her about it afterward as a joke.

Then he actually proposed.

So apparently my subconscious moonlights as a fortune teller now.

I cannot wait for their wedding next year at Danversport. These two deeply love, and honestly, it’s impossible not to love them too. I had the best time with their New Hampshire engagement photos, and if you’re looking for your own, message me to get started!

Katie and Arun kept telling me they were awkward in photos.

Meanwhile, they spent this entire session laughing together, holding onto each other naturally, and absolutely proving themselves wrong! Which honestly happens more often than not.

Most couples are not walking into their engagement session with modeling experience. They just deeply care about preserving this season of life well. That was exactly these two.

We wandered through the Boston Public Garden, Commonwealth Ave, and Beacon Hill right before the rain rolled in. Soft spring blossoms, classic brownstones, cloudy skies, and the sweetest couple who cared far more about being present together than performing for the camera.

My favorite part? Talking through their wedding day plans and hearing how much they value both photography AND fully experiencing the day with the people they love.

That balance will always matter to me.

Beautiful photos should support your wedding experience, not take you away from it.

Also, Boston in the spring really said, “you have exactly 90 dry minutes, use them wisely.” And somehow we pulled it off perfectly. 👏

This past weekend Dillon and I attended Breakthrough, a marriage retreat we’ve gone to 3 times now. It’s always amazing to dive deeper into our relationship and figure out what’s really going on behind the scenes that we (I) can ignore on a daily basis.

Lexington is also one of the most beautiful places, and it’s very green while most of New England is just beginning to come back from the dead. I love seeing what’s coming for us soon!

We’ve already signed up for next year, and I’m excited that we get to go again! If you’re thinking of trying it out, please ask me all your questions. I’d love for you to join us!

There’s something about the ocean that makes everything feel a little more honest.

Maybe it’s the wind that refuses to cooperate (and somehow makes her dress look even better). Or it’s the way time slows down just enough for a moment like this to land.

Or maybe it’s this…

He didn’t just ask a question. He created a moment she’ll step back into for the rest of her life.

The roses, the quiet shoreline, the way he looked at her like he already knew the answer… it wasn’t about perfection. It was about intention. And that’s what makes it unforgettable.

And then, of course, having a bit of fun in the moment. Because we are absolutely celebrating properly out here.

If you’re dreaming up something like this and quietly wondering how to make it feel this effortless, this you, this meaningful… I’ve got you. You don’t have to figure it out alone.

Just show up in love. I’ll take care of the rest. Planning a Cape Cod or coastal proposal? Send me a message and let’s start dreaming it up together. And a special shoutout to J and C for trusting me with your memories!

I’ve seen this idea floating around a lot lately.

There’s this belief that if you just choose the right person, everything else falls into place.

And yes, choosing well matters. But I’ve also seen enough marriages, enough real-life moments, to know that it doesn’t stop there.

Everyone marries a human. Which means there will be hard seasons, misunderstandings, things that don’t go the way you expected.

The couples who seem steady aren’t the ones who avoided difficulty. They’re the ones who are willing to be honest about it. The ones who can step back and take responsibility for their part when something isn’t working. (That doesn’t apply to situations that are unsafe or harmful. That’s something entirely different.)

But in everyday life, that willingness to stay, to grow, to keep choosing each other—it matters more than people talk about.

In my own marriage, we receive regular coaching from . It’s been the best investment ever! I’m always open to chatting about our coaching experiences, so if you’re on the fence, ask me all your questions!

The night before ✨

A quick rehearsal with a cathedral backdrop before heading down to the wharf to celebrate. Rehearsal dinner moments set the stage for the rest of the celebration to come. And it’s the last moment to capture being engaged. Once you wake up, you’re officially the stars of the wedding party.

I always recommend adding on rehearsal dinner or welcome party coverage. To get started, reach out to me today!

It’s the first anniversary week, so an amazing time to ✨finally✨ post this epic Washington National Cathedral School wedding!

These two are Navy sweethearts, and even more fun, my brother and sister-in-law! It was an honor to capture their amazing day. We loved making the most of the Washington National Cathedral as a backdrop. I may be based in New England, but I’d love to play as a DC wedding photographer again, someone bring me back!

Finalized the final touches on a little upgrade today 🥰

When receiving your final image gallery, you’ll also get my heirloom guide to help you get your photos off a your screen and into your hands 🙌

Everyone that sees their album and prints for the first time always comments that the photos are so much better than expected. Want to know why? Because photos are meant to be held. Our phones are a nice bonus, but photos were never designed to be posted, swiped, and tapped for likes. They’re really meant to be held, passed around a table as you share your story. Or decorating your walls to add a level of cozy and depth that only your personal memories can provide. Your photos are your heirlooms!

Let’s get the photos out of your digital gallery and in your home! If you want to add printed product, it’s never too late. Reach out to me to get started.
