The season usually starts to wind down for me in November, but the past couple of months have been a little wild in the best way. A steady stream of clients, old friends and new faces, have kept me busy, and I’m so grateful for the trust. Even more grateful that I get to do work I genuinely love.

Social media, on the other hand, has been… very neglected. It’s 5am, I’m on round two this month of a minor cold or flu situation, and I went to bed at 9pm last night. Hence the very early start.

My son’s preschool teacher asked all the kids what they were thankful for, and wrote their answers on the whiteboard. My little menace said, “Mama, Dada, DaiDai (little brother), and PoPo (grandma)”. I thought it was SO sweet, but then I saw another kid’s answer. It was “trees”🌳 . Another answer? “Cookies” 🍪

I try very hard not to take for granted what I’ve been given in life - my supportive family, hilarious friends, trusting clients, abundance of food, safety, and health.

However, I am also thankful for trees and Oreos. ❤️

Fontbonne was a unique place because it was cool to love science and theater. While I remember disliking plenty of parts of high school (what teenage girl didn't?), I do believe that it was a good place for me. It helped me embrace my quirks and I made some of my favorite people there. I loved being able to come back to create content for them. I can't wait to come back in the fall for the video portions!

Sometimes, I fill my car to the absolute brim with all of my equipment. Then, sometimes I just photograph using one simple light.

It was a really big 7ft light, but just one light nonetheless!
