This Black History Month, I wanted to share a little bit of my story with you.

WBZ news gave me chance to look back at over all the decades years behind the lens. When I moved here from Antigua and opened the doors to Roberts Photo Studio in 1973, I wanted to create a place where black stories could be preserved forever.

Over the decades, I’ve had the honor of photographing everyone from our neighbors here in Mattapan to world leaders and icons. To me, every face that walks through my door is a piece of history.

Whether we’ve known each other for years or you’re thinking about booking your very first professional portrait, I’m here to help you capture those moments that matter. We aren't just taking pictures, we’re keeping our history alive together.
