A love letter to you, from me.
When I started this business almost 10 years ago (WHAT!?) I had no savings.
I had just finished grad school, moved to Boston and left my career in marketing. Things were, quite literally, a big fat ?!
So, naturally, I did every single thing myself. The logo, the website, the copywriting, the marketing, and of course, the photography. This isn’t a novel story. This is how the small businesses you love are built.
Every few years I’d refresh my site and socials.
I’d look longingly at other rad brands and whisper to myself “someday you’ll have your glow up, my guy”.
Someday kept being pushed off. COVID. Geriatric cats. Surprise illnesses. A new puppy! Our Italian dream wedding.
It was all worth the wait.
For nearly two years, I had an email from sitting at the bottom of my inbox. A little reminder of a promise I made to myself when we started planning our destination wedding.
This winter, after a gentle nudge from my business coach and a few dear friends, I took the leap. And here we are!
I can’t wait for you to see the new Amanda Macchia Photography. When you catch our new look and read the copy (written carefully and with love by ), you’ll know your home.
This is the love letter. Every word on that new site, every carefully chosen image - it was written for you. To finally say out loud what you’ve always deserved to hear: that your memories matter, that this work is sacred, and that I see you. And the only reason I could write that letter at all? Because you kept showing up and bringing me into the moments that matter most. You didn’t just make this dream possible. You are the reason it exists.
(A special thanks to my community of badass small business friends. You know who you are. Thanks for texting with me constantly over the last month ilu so much)
