Howdy! 👋 A few fresh faces around here lately, so let’s do a proper re-introduction.

I’m Amanda — you’ll meet Mike in the next slides. We’re AMP, and we believe love is expansive, bodies are worthy, and photography should reflect real people, not outdated expectations.

I try to live my values the way I run this business. Some days I nail it. Some days I’m just doing my best and calling that enough.

This rebrand, this new studio — it’s been forcing me to slow down in the best way. To ask what we actually stand for, what we want to build, who this is all for. The answer keeps coming back to the same things: community, honesty, love in every form it takes.⚡️

These slides are a few of the reminders I keep coming back to. They’re for you. Honestly, they’re a little for me too.

There was a debate in my local photog group about this recently.

❤️‍🔥 Hot take: proposals are wild to be in, overwhelming to act out, and the plan never quite goes the way you thought it would.

Call me a hopeless romantic, but I adore them anyway! The nerves, the love in the room, the intimacy and thoughtfulness.

I’ve been proposed to. I’ve been the proposer. Both times it was weird, and both times it was lovely.

That’s kind of the whole point, though, isn’t it? ☺️

A love letter to you, from me.

When I started this business almost 10 years ago (WHAT!?) I had no savings.

I had just finished grad school, moved to Boston and left my career in marketing. Things were, quite literally, a big fat ?!

So, naturally, I did every single thing myself. The logo, the website, the copywriting, the marketing, and of course, the photography. This isn’t a novel story. This is how the small businesses you love are built.

Every few years I’d refresh my site and socials.

I’d look longingly at other rad brands and whisper to myself “someday you’ll have your glow up, my guy”.

Someday kept being pushed off. COVID. Geriatric cats. Surprise illnesses. A new puppy! Our Italian dream wedding.

It was all worth the wait.

For nearly two years, I had an email from sitting at the bottom of my inbox. A little reminder of a promise I made to myself when we started planning our destination wedding.

This winter, after a gentle nudge from my business coach and a few dear friends, I took the leap. And here we are!

I can’t wait for you to see the new Amanda Macchia Photography. When you catch our new look and read the copy (written carefully and with love by ), you’ll know your home.

This is the love letter. Every word on that new site, every carefully chosen image - it was written for you. To finally say out loud what you’ve always deserved to hear: that your memories matter, that this work is sacred, and that I see you. And the only reason I could write that letter at all? Because you kept showing up and bringing me into the moments that matter most. You didn’t just make this dream possible. You are the reason it exists.

(A special thanks to my community of badass small business friends. You know who you are. Thanks for texting with me constantly over the last month ilu so much)

POV: You want to get married at the Boston Public Library but have no idea what it actually costs. 👀

Cocktails in a sunlit courtyard. Dinner under the barrel-vaulted ceilings of Bates Hall. Dancing beneath Guastavino’s iconic terra cotta tile. Your guests don’t just attend - they explore.

I photograph weddings there regularly, so I wrote the guide I wish every couple had before their first inquiry.

From a $200 ceremony for 12 guests to a 200-person black-tie reception in Bates Hall - it all depends on what you want. New blog post has the full breakdown.

Impossible to pick favs from Steph and Mags’ engagement session 💘 ❄️

We had to lead with that first image. It’s simple. They’re looking straight at the camera. But they look so beautiful it needed to be first 🥹

And it reminds us… We love a winter shoot.

Okay maybe not during a full Nor’Easter… but crisp air, soft light, and cinematic? Hell. Yes.

Here are 5 reasons you should too 🎯

Your fashion pops.
Winter is made for statement coats, layered textures, leather boots, bold color. When the landscape goes neutral, you get to go editorial.

The light is unreal.
Lower sun = soft, flattering light almost all day. Creamy skin tones. Gentle shadows. No harsh overhead glare.

Fewer crowds.
Wherever we are. Quieter moments. Cleaner frames. More space to create and feel like the world is our oyster.

Built in intimacy.
You naturally lean in. Wrap up. Stay close. It feels real because it is.

The mood.
Breath in the air. Moody landscapes. Clean backdrops. Cinematic without even trying.
Winter sessions are wildly underrated. Who’s brave enough to book one? ❄️

And just like that, it’s basically 2026 🤯

113 projects.
32 weddings + elopements.
42 families.
So many drag shows I stopped counting.

Nearly 120k moments captured 🥹
Over 52k images edited 🫠

This year held love in every form — quiet, loud, tender, chaotic, sacred.

I got to co-create Q***rly Beloved, gifting 9 beautiful couples the free wedding of our gay dreams and raising over $4,000 for at a big, joyful, very gay dance party.

We traveled to 4 countries and 9 states, spent weeks wandering the southeastern coast of Italy, and somehow planned (most of the credit goes to ) + had our own destination wedding that ended up in The Boston Globe (still not over that one).

Mike and I are so dang grateful to everyone who trusted us with their stories this year. You made this year what it was, and we can’t wait to see what adventures await in 2026.

We love you to the 🌙
