♥ Don't let memories fade – As much as we would like to think we would remember a special moment forever, the sad truth is that most of our memories fade with time. Photography is a very important tool that is used to memorialize our lives

♥ Bond using pictures. It is always nice to have the pictures to go with all of the fun and crazy stories. You can create a visual history for future generations

♥ Impressions you don’t recall offhand can be brought back through the use of stimulus ....pictures. Ask a mother what they remember when their child was six months old and most will give a vague response or admit that those months are simply a blur of sleepless nights and overwhelming emotions.

♥ Place a picture of their baby in front of them, they will instantly remember the scene, the time, the clothing, the details of the day and exactly what the little one was doing at the time. The memories are there, but they can be stored very deeply. The obvious solution is to take more pictures to be sure you can bring back those memories at will.

I had the absolute honor of photographing the daughter of the wonderful owners of Thompson Inn & C***r House. Getting to celebrate such a special day with a family who is genuinely some of the kindest, most down-to-earth people you’ll ever meet made it that much more meaningful.

Give the gift of extended family portraits this season.

Is it a little hectic? Absolutely. Is everyone going to listen at the same time? Probably not. Will someone blink in the group shot? Almost certainly.

But years from now, you won’t remember the chaos. You’ll remember who was there, how little the kids were, and how lucky you were to have everyone together.

The memories are worth it. Every single time.

Two badass Army captains who somehow also know how to be incredibly sweet. From the vintage wedding dress and embroidered table numbers to the Lana vibe second look, everything was so cool and so them. Not to mention the full harvest moon and the nor’easter
