On Friday August 7th, my father Richard R. Maclone US Army Ranger & Prisoner of Wa, World War 2 was honored and included into the Nahant Purple Heart Honor Role in a ceremony at the Nahant Lifesaving Station.
Our family extends our heartfelt thanks to everyone at Post 215, the Town of Nahant, and the Preservation Trust for the extraordinary Purple Heart Ceremony held on August 7th, 2026
Having our father Richard Maclone, added to the Nahant Purple Heart Honor Role and recognized for his World War 2 service in such a warm and dignified manner meant the world to us. The sense of community and respect shown throughout the evening was truly moving.
My father always taught me that the greatest way to show someone how much you love them is to never forget them. Thank you for helping us honor him and his memory, and for your steadfast support of all veterans.
