Like, really love people. Every one of you has a story that is so unique and beautiful in it's own way, and I have the best job in the world to be able to capture and show off your stories in such a real and honest way. Photography is important to me for so many reasons. It has provided a creative outlet, given me a sense of joy when I see the faces of others light up, but most importantly, it has

permanently given me some precious memories to hold on to through loss and some of the hardest times in my life. "Life is but a v***r"- but it is truly a gift when you can hold on to a memory.

12 years ago today, my world changed forever. This day still carries a heaviness that never truly leaves, Some days it’s quieter, some days it’s loud—but honoring my dad this way always brings joy!

If you knew him, you felt it. His kindness, his presence, the way he made you feel like you mattered He had this rare gift—when you were with him, you felt like the most important person in the room. He loved deeply and gave freely, without asking for anything in return.

This year is especially bittersweet. Experiencing this day as a parent now—holding my daughter and feeling a love so deep has given me a whole new understanding of grief, love, and the legacy we leave behind.

Today is the 4th annual Scott James Hassett "SJH" giveaway in honor of my favorite person in the world, my dad!

Many of you probably don't know that my dad is one of the main reasons I pursued making photography my career/ passion instead of just my hobby. Growing up we did not have many professional family photos taken, and when my dad got diagnosed with stage 4 cancer the month before he passed, there was no time to have professional photos taken. This furthered my passion for the importance of documenting your life and the beautiful people in it! The most beautiful thing about photography is that it captures a moment that would otherwise be gone forever and impossible to reproduce. In life when someone dies you will never say "I wish I had less photos of them to look back on!" Rather the opposite!

Today marks the day the world's light got a little dimmer 11 years ago. If you knew my dad, you knew the love he had for people and it truly impacted your life in such an unforgettable way. My dad was through-and-through a giver, so I thought it would be special to honor him on this day with a giveaway!
He spread joy and love anywhere he went, and what gives you more joy than beautiful photos and memories of the ones you love and your legacy?

Happy Halloween from Captain America! 🇺🇸

Today was extra special capturing this sweetheart! He has made me an official Auntie and I could not be more in love with him! Scott Jamison Hassett named after my Dad! The last photo is my dad in his Captain America sweetheart! If you knew my Dad you knew he loved Marvel specifically Captain America! So naturally I had to get this little guy a captain America outfit ❤️🤍💙

NEW WEBSITE IS LIVE!!!!

I cannot put into words how excited I have been to share this with you all!!! For the last 5 months this has been a work in progress, and I could not be more proud of how it came out! I really wanted my brand to represent / reflect me and my art - my photography style is classic and timeless with a clean, modern feel and I’ve designed my site in a way that showcases this (and of course, all the fun vibes!!!) I hope you love the new site as much as I do!
