We love FFVIII. Yeah, it gets a lot of flack for a lot of stuff and there are even things in it that we don't like. But overall, we love it. And we love the characters. So... we cosplay them. A lot.

This year for Anime Boston and Kupocon, we decided to go as Laguna and Raine Loire (aka Squall's parents)! They were honestly a lot of fun. And a ton of people recognized us and were really happy to see these two portrayed! Not to mention all the Squall cosplayers who we got to "adopt". And then, as a bonus, we made their wedding outfits! I mean, Kupocon was having a ball for their evening event, so it was a no brainer. And considering that the wedding outfits were made in maybe three days, I guess they're not too bad...

Didn't get many again this year, but we managed to snag a few good hallway shots! I also popped into the Disney photoshoot and nabbed some good shots there, too! Such amazing cosplayers this year!

We finally got to go back to Maine for a little vacation! The weather was great and, even though we spent most of it around the lake, we managed to get a few photos as evidence!

We love going to small faires and, after discovering Abbadia Mare up in Glouster, MA last year, we love it! It's so low-key and absolutely gorgeous. The castle is a plus, also! The acts this year were great as always and we really enjoyed a lazy Saturday of dressing up, hearing music, watching shows, and chatting up vendors. All in all, a great day!

So I've been playing with long exposures. For my birthday, I wanted to go down to the beach and see if I could get some nice long exposures of the waves. Of course, the photo gods were not in my favor that day. Not only did I forget my tripod and tulip hood at home, but we forgot to pick up my makeshift ND filter. Okay, fine. I'll just get some regular pictures, I said. That was, until I discovered that I had failed to put a memory card back into the camera.

Soooo... have some half-decent photos from my sad, old phone. :D The colors were mostly from an orange gradient filter that I just held up in front of the phone camera. The rest was some gradient editing post production. Grainy and small, but I guess they're not too bad? I was a fun night nevertheless.

Nice evening spent at C**t State Park in Bristol. I'm really sort of disappointed in the lackluster sunset I got and how few of the shots turned out usable, but eh. Got a couple salvaged ones after some merging and editing. First time with elongated exposures for water and manual graduated neutral density (aka move the piece of cardboard juuust right during exposure time).... Was a fun experiment though.

Yep. Mostly practice or shots I thought came out nice, but were for nothing other than my own entertainment.

So many awesome FF cosplays at AB this year! They were all a lot of fun and we're glad we could make it this year!

So this year we wanted to do another FF cosplay! We decided to try something different, so we came up with moogles! The adorable, poofy, magical creatures that are in almost every FFworld, come to life! Except we went with something a little more humanized and somehow settled on a classy, Victorian style. This was definitely a fun one to do and one that we'll be doing again in the future!

We didn't get many hall shots this year (I'm still a wimp when it comes to asking for photos...) but we got some pretty awesome cosplays!
