It is becoming exponentially more challenging to identify elements of the present that may soon become part of the past. It depends on where you live and your surroundings, but in the Boston, Massachusetts (USA) area, there was a time not too long ago when everywhere you looked had elements of yesterday - gritty, old, unkept, textured, beautiful, real, organic, intrinsically part of the community it belonged to.

If you listen to my latest podcast episode, I discuss the collision between the WANT for creating for myself versus the NEED to create for my clients. It's become quite a conundrum fo me as it oftentimes drains me of the energy needed to get out and shoot street photography! Am I being whiny? Should I just suck it up? Any thoughts?
