A few hundred demonstrators gathered outside a Boston Planned Parenthood Saturday morning for the annual National Men’s March to Abolish Abortion and Rally for Personhood. As the crowd of around 200–mostly men— began their nearly three-mile-long march to Boston Common, a crowd of counter protesters dressed in clown costumes marched alongside them, yelling, playing instruments, and using other noise makers to drown out the march.

Dozens of Boston police officers escorted the marchers along Commonwealth Avenue to their rally in Boston Common. There were a few tense back-and-forth interactions between counterprotesters and the marchers. Last year’s Men’s March ended in clashes between counterprotesters and hundreds of police in riot gear, resulting in nine arrests. This year’s march dispersed at Boston Common on Saturday around 3:00 p.m. with no reported arrests.

Last Friday, the Belmont Woman's Club (BWC) held a fundraiser in conjunction with the upcoming Museum of Fine Arts exhibit "Of Light and Air: Winslow Homer in Watercolor." The event was hosted inside Belmont’s William Flagg Homer House, built in 1853. The home was bought and saved from demolition by the BWC in 1927 and sits in what is now the Pleasant Street Historic District in Belmont, Massachusetts. “Of Light and Air: Winslow Homer in Watercolor” will be on view at the Museum of Fine Arts from Nov. 2, 2025, to Jan. 19, 2026.

Thousands gathered in the Boston Commons Monday morning for a rally and march against the Trump Administration. Governor Maura Healey and Senator Elizabeth Warren were among the politicians and local leaders who came out to support. It was the first Labor Day parade in Boston in decades.

I am proud to support URJ Camp Kalsman for Giving Tuesday today. Here are just a few of the thousands of photos I took last summer as the Head of Summer Communications.

Summer camp has always been a place where a kid can truly be a kid and my time at Kalsman as a camper was some of the best summers of my life. I have gone to Kalsman for over 10 years as both a camper and as staff. Camp Kalsman has taught me that being Jewish is not just a religion, it’s a community. Growing up in Seattle my sister and I were usually the only Jewish kids in our classes so we never really experienced that sense of community outside of our temple. That was until we went to camp. At camp, I met many of my best friends who will no doubt be lifelong friends. Camp Kalsman is truly an amazing place, and not just because it is in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains, but because of the connections Jewish kids make with each other during the summer that are unlike anything they experience during the school year. I am forever grateful that I was fortunate enough to attend for so many summers as a camper.

In a world where people are feeling increasingly disconnected, and scared to be outwardly Jewish, having places like Camp Kalsman is more important now than ever before.

If you can, please consider donating to Camp Kalsman for Giving Tuesday today. Over 50% of camper families receive some form of financial assistance to attend camp and much of that assistance comes from camp donors. In addition, every dollar donated will be matched 3x by the Harold Grinspoon Foundation.
