For Sale

A very clean Hasselblad 500c body with original focus screen in excellent, clean condition. Very little signs of use. Works perfectly. Great looking camera. The C12 back is in beautiful shape as well with matching inserts. The lens glass is clean and clear with no haze, fungus or oil. There are few misc thin cleaning marks, nothing bad at all....very minor. One spot on coating at edge (nothing and hard to see). Shutter works well and ready to shoot.

The camera dates to 1963, the lens 1962 and the back 1968.

I tested the body and lens by mounting my Phase One P25 digital back and the camera focusing and lens are spot on and produce SHARP results. I tested at closest focus and infinity and the resolution is impressive - see test pics. The roll film back has been visually inspected and I see no light leaks but fresh seals are never a bad idea. The back clearly wasnt used much at all - no visible wear.

FOR SALE: Leica IIIc camera body with sharkskin covering. If you know these cameras, most are in tough condition. This example is beautiful ! Not perfect but absolutely no dings or dents, no missing sharkskin covering, just beautiful chrome finishes ! I dont even see wear in the cold shoe...and no tripod marks. I am not sure this camera was used. The shutter works consistently, the RF is aligned horizontally, but off a tad bit vertically....and the patch has decent contrast. Shutter curtains are beautiful and evidence how little used this camera was. One small brushmark on the rear chrome near the RF/VF windows keeps this from being completely mint- condition. Its an easy 9 condition...and not far from 9+.

Sharkskin covering was used by Leitz from 1948 until mid 1950. Predominantly on Ic, IIc and IIIc cameras. Hasbroeck is quoting SNs between 430### and 501###. But as well other models produced in this time have occasionally sharkskin covering.

FOR SALE: Late Transition Model 1970 Hasselblad 500C that has the 500CM feature of (user) interchangeable focusing screens. Includes: standard Waist level finder, A12 Roll film back also from 1970 with matching insert and purchased with the camera. Standard focusing screen. Original Leather Strap. Hasselblad CR 1.5 Skylight filter. Metal & Plastic Hasselblad lens hood.

This camera was purchased from an advanced amateur who shot Hassy and Leica from the 1970s-2000s. The system is used but very well cared for. The camera and lens have also been tested using my Phase One P25 Digital back. Camera focuses dead accurately - tested wide open and stopped down at closest focus and infinity. Pictures have terrific resolution! Close ups are at print size of 13"x18" Superb resolution from this camera/lens combo.

The lens is the 80mm f/2.8 Planar C lens, manufactured in 1969 and was purchased with the body originally.

Condition:

Camera: finder is excellent, screen is excellent, camera body is working properly and accurately. Shows signs of use but well maintained camera. Mirror up working properly. Clean mirror. Camera is an 8+ Roll film back shows use but is in good working order. It has been visually been tested for light leaks. [FYI - keep in mind that Hassy back light seals are a DIY task and the seals are $ 13 on ebay - no need to use a repairman. See http://www.hasselbladhistorical.eu/HT/HTSeal.aspx ]

Lens: The lens is in extremely nice condition ! Glass is a solid 9 with no haze, no fungus, no cleaning marks to speak of. One of the nicest early Planar lenses I have seen in years. Coatings are beautiful. Shutter is working well. Tested successfully. Would grade lens an easy 9 almost 9+, and the barrel an 8+.

Strap, filter and hood in very good and used condition.

This is a nice kit with terrific glass. An absolute classic medium format camera. And at far less money than a Leica M3. And this will smoke a Leica.
