Happy Holidays from my crazy crew to yours! Hope today was filled with more laughter than tears and that you got to sit down at some point and soak it all in. It was a non-stop day here, but ever so thankful for the pure joy that each kid showed during parts of today and hopefully the minimal meltdowns will be long forgotten in the coming years 😉. I went with the black and white photo this year for our holiday cards. Which one do you prefer?

Slowing down for the weekend, soaking up the gorgeous weather with friends, and cherishing the little moments reminds me why I adore capturing this season for other families, too. Fall is such a beautiful time to create memories you’ll treasure forever.

We survived the first full week of school at our household, thankfully. It’s hard to believe it was just this past Monday when my youngest started in a new class. Logistically figuring out schedules at 3 different schools on top of activities has been ALOT, but it’s actually working out better than imagined. I’m so thankful for our community near and far who help. How is back to school going for you!?!

How is it only Tuesday?!? This rainy week has me feeling extra sluggish—anyone else dragging a bit? Between the laundry, dishes, kid activities, meals, and bedtime routines, the to-do list feels endless. Just trying to keep afloat without losing my mind (or anything else for that matter.)
But editing newborn sessions always give me a much-needed boost. The love this gorgeous family has for their newest little one was palpable. So much tenderness, joy, and connection—it was an honor to capture it all. 💕

Sometimes the timing isn’t picture perfect… and that’s perfectly okay.
This sweet family had to delay their newborn session due to an upcoming move—and while things were still being unpacked and life was a bit chaotic, they still made space for something truly special: documenting this fleeting season with their little one.
And guess what? Delaying their session came with some unexpected perks:

It’s such a gift when a family feels like old friends from the first session. I was lucky enough to meet this gorgeous family when their sweet boy was still in Mama’s belly. Since then, I’ve had the pleasure of documenting their milestones and can’t wait to see them again in just a few short weeks.

What is a Fresh 48 session like? I can tell you that it’s not like any other session you may have had in the past. It’s raw, low key, and filled with so much LOVE for the newest little addition in the family. Every Fresh 48 session is stamped in my memory like it’s my own. The early days with a newborn are blurry with sleepless nights and adjusting to all the new changes. These are the memories you want to cherish forever. My availability for these sessions is limited. We’ve been having a staycation for April break and I’m LOVING it! A week without endless activities to run to, time to lay low with my kids, and a chance to get some things checked off the ongoing To Do list is just what I needed. This miserable weather day calls for some precious newborn photos! The cool thing about a bundle deal is seeing how much can change in just a few short weeks. From the first photo to the last was barely a month of time, can you believe it?!

On a different, what’s with this weather? It’s way too cold and wet out! Anyone else ready for spring to get here already!?!

Today my baby turns TWO, but since it might take me another year to post her birthday photos, I’m sharing a throwback from her FIRST birthday celebration. I had high hopes to celebrate with friends last year and then COVID got us for the first time and knocked us all out. The silver lining was that we all got to celebrate our sweet girl’s birthday together. She was clearly sad when the cake was gone, but aren’t we all!?!
