and summer ain’t over yet 🕺

At the beginning of the year I chatted about how I wanted my word of the year to be “space”…

- I wanted space on my calendar to say “yes” to projects that sounded fun & new.

- Physical space in our home by donating, selling, and removing all the clutter that’s built up (and i take full credit for this bc I’m the messy one)

And creative space between my weddings & shoots so I can be mentally present & inspired for each of my couples.

And all that to say, when I created more space, life got a whole lot more full 🥰☀️

WOOP WOOP!

I’m so excited & proud to share that I am now an ambassador for Pic-Time | Galleries for Photographers !!

Pic-Time was the very first investment I made for my photography business way back in 2023, because I knew the power of providing a great client experience from day one.

When their team reached out about partnering together, it was such a pinch me moment because I have been SUCH a fan all of these years, and was already telling every photographer I know to join bc it’s that good.🕺📸

So I’ll be here, continuing to shout Pic-Time’s name from the rooftops, and il always be a DM away if you ever have questions.

And if you’re interested in trying it out for yourself, comment PIC-TIME to try for free. 🥰📸

“Will you pose us at all?”

Is a question that’s come up a lot on discovery calls recently, and so...

Short answer: yes.

Long answer (bc there’s always a long answer with ya girl🤭):

When I say I’m a documentary photographer, I don’t mean I’m gonna show up on your wedding day, say absolutely nothing, and lurk in the corner with a camera, bc… weird!!

Yes, candid and natural will always be my priority. But that doesn’t mean I’m going to leave you hanging. 🕺

For family photos, I’m absolutely going to guide people where they need to go and find the best light.

For portraits, I am going to give you direction. I’m probably going to have you walk together. Maybe run if you’re down. Squisshhhhhh (ifykyk). 🤭 Take a breath. Hang out.

Because the best documentary photographers know when to step in, and they know when to step back.

So when you need guidance, reassurance, or a little direction, I gotchu!

But when you’re laughing with your friends, hugging your grandma after the ceremony, or having a quiet moment with your partner, I’m stepping back and letting it unfold.

The magic isn’t in never stepping in. And it’s not in directing every second of your day either.

It’s in knowing the difference.

Knowing when you need support, and knowing when a moment is already perfect exactly as it is. 🫶🏼🥰
