These 161 total 2020 model year Police Interceptor Utilities helped pave the way for some much anticipated improvements with the 2021 vehicle order this year. Which included the reintroduction of push bumpers, integrated WatchGuard vehicle camera systems, and the latest Whelen control module CenCom Core with V2V Sync capability

These brand new Massachusetts State Police Cruisers never fail to impress when you see them up close. Pictured are five fully-marked 2020 Ford Police Interceptor Utilities fully constructed at the upfitter and the awaiting delivery back in August. All sporting some of the best equipment available for law enforcement vehicles.

Although not many were ordered this year, these cruisers are paving the way for some much anticipated improvements coming with next year’s Spring 2021 order which is right around the corner.

Another highlight on easily some of the sharpest cruisers saved for last in the order this year. And one of only four equipped with a push bumper.

Pictured here is Massachusetts State Police Cruiser 1838T, a low-profile 2020 Ford F-150 Police Responder fully constructed at the upfitter and awaiting delivery to the Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Section (Truck Team).

It sports a large array of purpose selected emergency warning and scene lighting. Such as two Whelen Pioneer Plus Dual Panel flood/spot lights which put out 18,520 lumens of light a piece. And as a standard from Ford it comes equipped with a 3.5L EcoBoost engine pushing 375 horsepower and 470 pound feet of torque to support its payload capacity of 2,030 pounds and a towing capacity of 7,000 pounds.

Which aids in allowing for the Truck Team to use their cruisers to haul trailers of additional equipment to any one of the 12 weigh stations within Massachusetts in addition to their onboard portable scales & equipment.

The 2020 marked hybrid cruiser order is approaching completion for the year.
••
Pictured here is a rare standout amongst the order, Massachusetts State Police Cruiser 640, a fully-marked 2020 Ford Police Interceptor Utility fully constructed at the upfitter and the only cruiser within the order to forgo the full-face wheel covers with clips, normally specified with the cruisers. In its place are painted aluminum center caps showing off the black painted 5-spoke steel wheels. Many law enforcement agencies across the nation select this option when ordering Ford Fleet vehicles. Although it is a completely out of place choice for the State Police.
