Summer recap of 2026 ☀️

Every year, I tell myself I’m going to take summer slow. And every year, I somehow end up feeling the pressure to create, post, engage, work full-time, keep learning and growing, and be a present mom while having a child home for 12 weeks with no school.

By the end of summer, I’m usually exhausted.

This year, I decided to care less about keeping up and more about being present. When I was with Anouk, I tried not to reach for my phone to check Instagram, edit something, or think about what I should post next. I just wanted to be there with her.

Being more present was one of my intentions for 2026, and I’m glad I actually made some progress on it this summer.

These photos are a little recap of those 12 weeks: house projects we tackled, places we traveled, food we made, parties we threw, and time spent with family.

I may have posted less of it while it was happening, but I think that was the point. 🤍

Whenever work gets stressful, I start planning my next escape. ✈️ Currently dreaming about the South of France and browsing Luxury Escapes for places I’d love to stay.

With luxury hotels for up to 70% off and extras often included, some of these bucket-list trips suddenly feel a lot more doable. Does imaginary trip planning solve my problems? No. Does it help? Absolutely. 😂

This weekend was all about celebrating my dad’s 75th birthday. We started the day with prayers for his long, healthy, and happy life, followed by a hearty Bengali lunch, cake, and so much joy. 🎂🎉🎈🎊🎁
