I doubt most of you know that I spent a good portion of my life as a gymnast, and coach. I also spent a few years judging for USAG. The reason I say this is I miss teaching and coaching.

I am thinking of putting together a workshop for our local kids. I have had several of our yearbook kids and athletes come to me asking how to work their cameras and for tips.

I am not a professional in all areas of photography but I know several amazing photographers in the area who I may be able to talk into speaking for a few minutes about their specialties.

I think the workshop would cover basic photography (exposure triangle, camera basics), basic editing, finding your own style, and social media.

Tell me what yall think. I will probably make another post asking you wonderful people to clean out your closets for those older cameras you bought when you wanted to take pics but never got around to it. That way these kids can get some hands on experience.

I generally have my camera with me. One of my favorite things to do is stopping when I see something cool. It drives my kids crazy. I have done some traveling this week and I have had a few chances to stop and take a few shots.

This morning outside of Elk City I got to see something pretty amazing. Behind me the sun was rising and I front of me was a beautiful thunderstorm. I pulled over twice for two different shots.

I hope you like them.

The second shot it almost seemed like the old gas station was on fire or lit from inside. It's so hard to capture the beauty of the moment.

Good morning everyone. This is a hard post for me. After being with the company for 21 years my job is closing it's doors here in Borger. In the past I have done almost all of my photography work for free. Unfortunately moving forward I will be charging for my work. I am thankful for all of the families and friends who let me use them as learning experiences in the past. I genuinely hope they follow me into this new era as a photographer. I still plan to make my work affordable as possible. I feel like everyone deserves to be able to afford pictures. I love photography. I love working with people and helping them to feel comfortable while they are with me.

I will continue to shoot sports and events for free. I will probably add my Venmo to the gallery in case yall want to buy me a coke for my time spent but it is never expected. I will also offer full sized images if you ever want to print them for a small fee.

I am sure I am rambling. Please forgive me. Here is to a new beginning. 🥂

I have a new style of photography I would like to try. I have a couple shoots planned for this style and I would like to practice it this weekend. That way I can have it down before the shoots I have planned. I am asking if I have any friends who would like to model for me. I think it would probably be a couple hours. This is artsy stuff so if posing is not something you are comfortable with I understand. No kids on this one. I need patience because I will be working with off camera flash and want to be able to focus while I figure all of it out.
