I still get chills when I think about this one.

This is one of my best friends on her wedding day, seeing her dad for the first time. It was one of the first weddings I ever shot solo, and it’s still one of the most emotional first looks I’ve seen.

He was just so happy to see her, and so amazed at how beautiful she was.

My favorite sessions are the ones where seniors bring the thing that lights them up. The bike, the truck, the guitar, the dog, the jersey. Whatever it is, bring it. That’s what makes your photos look like you and nobody else.

I asked my second shooter to grab some behind the scenes. Twelve hours later, this is what he remembered to film. 😅

In his defense, he was busy. Quinn has been shooting weddings with me since 2023 and the man is dangerous with a camera. Creative eye, great direction, and my favorite person to spend a 12 hour workday with. (I married him, so I'm a little biased.)

Grace + Austin, yours is our favorite wedding we've worked together so far. When a couple asks you to stay for their private last dance, you stay. My feet have not forgiven me and I'd do it again tomorrow.

Three artists, three cities, one weekend in Iowa. 🌼

Alexis, Jenna, and Devon met in Nashville and have stayed close ever since. These days that looks like Iowa, NYC and LA, but they all landed here for a weekend and wanted to make something together while they had the chance.

Their vision was watching their music bloom, and watering it the best way they know how, with the best people around them. So yes, that is a guitar growing flowers.

Then we broke off into different sections. Alexis and Jenna have a song together called Partner in Crime, which is how Space Barbie and Carmen Sandiego ended up strutting down an Iowa trail. And we stayed out past dark for something a little more out of this world... more on that soon. 👀

Each of them is their own artist with their own vibe, and somehow it all fits together. We had SO much fun.
