Lauren and Billie's Redwoods elopement was nothing short of incredible!

We couldn't have asked for more beautiful weather as we spent the day exploring beneath towering redwoods, surrounded by trees that have stood for hundreds, and in some cases thousands, of years. There's something so surreal about standing among these giants, thinking about everything they've witnessed throughout history and how many generations have passed beneath their branches. Getting to document a love story in a place like this is something we'll never take for granted.

After spending time in the forest, we made our way to the coast, where we hiked out to an incredible overlook for Lauren and Billie's first dance, with the Pacific Ocean stretching out behind them. We ended the evening down on the beach, soaking in the last light of sunset and celebrating with ch*****ne as the waves rolled in.

From the peaceful stillness of the redwoods to the wild beauty of the coastline, every moment of their day was absolutely beautiful. We had so much fun adventuring with these two, and we can't wait to share more from their incredible day!

Baily and Dayton's Redwoods elopement was one of those days we wish we could relive over and over again!

From the most beautiful light filtering through the towering redwoods to the absolutely insane wind along the Oregon coast, this day was nothing short of incredible! The wind at the beach was WILD, with gusts that had to be at least 50 mph. So wild, in fact, that one particularly strong gust sent Baily's veil flying right off and into the wind! Definitely a moment none of us will be forgetting anytime soon!

And can we talk about the adorable raccoons that decided to make an appearance?! We still can't get over how sweet and curious they were!

There was so much laughter, adventure, and beauty packed into one day, and we had the absolute best time exploring it all with these two. From the peaceful, sunlit forest to the absolute chaos of the wind at the beach, we loved every second of it!

We're just getting started on their gallery, but we couldn't wait to share a little glimpse of their incredible day. So much more to come!

Fall at Mt. Rainier is something else, and Trinity and Ethan couldn't have picked a more beautiful time to get married!

The mountainsides were absolutely bursting with reds, oranges, and golds, and everywhere we turned felt like something straight out of a painting. There's such a short window each year when the fall colors at Rainier are this incredible, and these two got to experience it at its very best.

We had such an amazing time exploring the mountain with Trinity and Ethan, soaking in all those beautiful fall colors, and documenting a day that was entirely their own. Days like this are exactly why we love fall elopements in the Pacific Northwest so much!

Steven and Annie’s North Cascades elopement was one of those days that felt like a true adventure from beginning to end. These two came to us all the way from Manhattan after getting engaged in Patagonia!

On the morning of their elopement, we hiked into the mountains surrounded by some of the most incredible fall colors, with clouds moving through the peaks and rain coming and going throughout the day. The weather definitely kept us on our toes, but these two rolled with every bit of it!

They hiked through the rain, embraced the changing conditions, and even got to see a baby owl, something we'd never seen in our two decades of hiking before!

There’s something we love so much about elopement days like this. They aren’t about everything going exactly according to plan. They’re about heading somewhere beautiful together, being present in whatever the day brings, and getting married in a way that feels like an adventure you’ll actually remember.

And those North Cascades fall colors certainly didn’t hurt.

We’re finishing up several galleries this week, and Abbey and Adam’s beautiful Mt. Rainier elopement is one of them!

It’s been an absolute whirlwind of a summer. We’ve spent so much of it on the road, hiking trails, chasing sunsets, exploring some of our favorite places, and getting to document so many incredible elopement days along the way. There are still so many moments from this season that we haven’t even had a chance to share yet.

And somehow, we’re already gearing up for October, which is officially our busiest month yet! We have a whole lot of miles, some pretty incredible places, and some really special days ahead of us.

We can’t wait to share more of where we’ve been, what we’ve been working on, and all the adventures that are still ahead.

Cameo + Ryan’s wedding day was one of those days that just felt like classic summer in the mountains.

They gathered their favorite people along the shores of a lake in Sandpoint, said their vows at the end of a dock with the mountains stretching out behind them, celebrated with live music by the water, and then snuck away as the sun dropped behind the mountains for some of the most beautiful golden light.

But our favorite part might have been how they ended the night.

As the light faded and the lake turned blue, Cameo and Ryan decided there was really only one appropriate way to finish a wedding on the water. They grabbed hands, ran down the dock in their wedding clothes, and jumped straight into the lake.

And they definitely weren’t going in alone.

A whole group of their friends and family came running right behind them and jumped in too. Watching everyone launch themselves off the same dock where Cameo and Ryan had stood just hours earlier exchanging their vows felt like the absolute perfect ending to their day.

Beautiful, relaxed, a little wild, and completely them.

Cameo and Ryan, we had such an incredible time celebrating with you and the people you love. We’re so grateful we got to document every part of this day, right down to the soaking wet ending. 🤍

There is something so special about slowing down before the celebration begins.

Before meeting up with their families, Alice and David chose to greet the sunrise in the North Cascades, sharing private vows with no audience except the mountains around them. Just the two of them, taking in every word, every emotion, and every quiet moment together before the day unfolded.

Afterward, they made their way to celebrate with the people they love most, but those peaceful hours at sunrise became a part of their story that belonged only to them.

One of our favorite parts of planning elopements and intimate weddings is creating space for moments like these. Whether it's a private first look, sunrise vows, or a quiet adventure before guests arrive, your wedding day doesn't have to move from one event to the next. It can have room to breathe, to be intentional, and to be truly yours.

Alice and David, thank you for trusting us to document such an incredible beginning to your day. We will never forget watching the first light spill across the North Cascades as you promised forever to each other.

We rolled back into Washington late last night after an incredible week documenting elopements across some of the most breathtaking places in the country. From the wildflower-covered slopes of Mount Rainier, to the rugged peaks of the North Cascades, to the turquoise lakes of Glacier National Park, our hearts (and memory cards) are so full.

We couldn't think of a better couple to kick things off with than Mackenzie + Alex.

Their day started at the most beautiful lakeside cabin, where they spent a slow morning together before heading into Mount Rainier National Park. From there, we hiked through vibrant wildflower meadows with breathtaking views of the mountain, shared so many laughs, and even watched a black bear wander across the hillside from a safe distance. It was one of those days that perfectly captured why we love adventure elopements so much. Every part of it felt intentional, relaxed, and completely centered around the two of them.

One thing that's really important to us is making sure these incredible landscapes stay just as beautiful for the couples who come after them. While some of these photos may look like they're taken in the middle of the wildflowers, Mackenzie and Alex never stepped off the trail. We use perspective and low angles to create that immersive look while protecting the fragile alpine ecosystem. In places like Mount Rainier, even a single footprint can impact wildflowers for years.

Congratulations, Mackenzie + Alex. Thank you for trusting us with such an unforgettable adventure. We already can't wait to share more from this incredible day. 🤍

Meridith & Tyler traveled to the North Cascades from Texas to exchange vows surrounded by endless towering peaks, alpine lakes, and some of the dreamiest weather imaginable. We started the day with sunshine, watched clouds drift through the mountains, and ended with the most incredible fog rolling over the ridges. Some of their favorite people also traveled with them and witnessed their beautiful ceremony with Mt. Shuksan as their background.

These two had us laughing all day. One of our favorite memories from the day was every time the fog rolled in, Meridith would start humming the Twilight soundtrack in a pitch we could never recreate lol Safe to say we'll never look at moody mountain fog the same way again.

The North Cascades have a way of reminding you how small you are in the best possible way. Standing together in a place this wild and beautiful makes it easy to slow down and focus on what really matters.

There are a lot of reasons couples choose to elope.

Freedom.
Adventure.
The chance to spend the day doing what actually makes them happy.

For a lot of people, that includes bringing their dog.

Not because it's trendy. Not because it looks cute in photos (although it definitely does). But because when they picture one of the biggest days of their lives, they can't imagine their best friend missing it.

We've watched dogs lead the way down mountain trails, wait patiently during private vows, celebrate with zoomies on the beach, and steal a few kisses when no one was looking. They become part of the memories, not just part of the photos.

The best part?

Your dog doesn't care if the weather changes. They don't care if your dress gets muddy or your boots get wet. They remind you to laugh, to play, and to soak in every second of the adventure.

The truth is, your elopement doesn't have to fit anyone else's idea of what a wedding should look like.

If that means hiking into the mountains with your backpack, your wedding attire, and your favorite four-legged hiking partner, we think that's a pretty incredible way to start a marriage. 🐾🤍
