Tis the season for the wild flowers here in Montana and Arrowleaf Balsamroot is in full display here.

Found this beautiful, idilic spot driving home on our dirt road, keeping my head swiveling back and forth looking for wild life.

These photos turned into our annual family session, with Garrett, Ma and Pa.

Respecting my in laws privacy and not posting theirs, but just imagine a playful, 60-something years young couple, piggyback riding in this beautiful setting ❤️ 😍

Over the past 13 years of being a dog mom, I've created or had made a couple of memorable custom pieces, which include a photo album, a custom art canvas, a pillow of his body, long form and short form videos and so many photographs.

Having had to say good bye to our boy, those keepsakes are a happy reminder of his rich and full life he had with us.

Should you edit ALL your photos?

Nope!

Editing is time consuming and you may not understand the various software, buttons and the result is just going to sit somewhere on your phone/computer.

I edit when I want to see the colors pop, when a crop can make your subject stand out more, when the subject needs a vignette or blur to help it stand out, when distracting elements need to be removed, etc.

Last photo was pretty vibrant in camera so I left the moss as is.

Do you edit all your images?

The Jacket that inspired this session!!!

I think that small part of being a little girl who dreamed of dressing up in her moms clothes IS STILL ALIVE because when I saw this jacket in my mom in laws closet, I just had to try it on.

A couple of years later, I remembered it's gorgeousness and borrowed it for my photo session.

What do you guys think? Should I borrow it more often? I'm thinking next concert at the Kettlehouse or to yoga class or strutting around the woods, pretending I'm on a runway 🤣🤣🤣
