At 18:37hrs on Sunday May 17th, Chanhassen Fire Department with auto aid from Chaska, Victoria and Eden Prairie were paged to the 8700 blk of Bellevue Ct. for a reported fire in an attached garage. Chan Engine 1 arrived at a 2 story residence with smoke from the garage and stretched an attack line interior. Chan Chief 3 assumed command. Chaska Chief 2 was the alpha division with Victoria Chief 3 as safety. Chaska Engine 11 stretched an attack line and opened up the garage. Crews located a fire near the bravo/charlie corner of the garage and quickly knocked it down. Following overhaul crews picked up and were clear by 20:45hrs.

Saint Paul Station 7 was the location for the Extra Alarm Associations April meeting. It is home to SPFD's newest apparatus, E7’s Rosenbauer RTX and L7’s new Rosenbauer Commander 109’ aerial. Enjoy!

My last morning was spent in Cape Coral where they now operate out of 13 stations with 8 engines, 4 ladders, 1 platform, 1 water tanker, 4 brush trucks, 2 rescue pumpers, 7 light rescues, and 3 battalion chiefs. I was able to get photos at Stations 4, 6, 7 & 13. Enjoy!

Lehigh Acres also took delivery of some new Pierce pumpers. Engine 104’s new rig was OOS that day so I grabbed a shot of their spare Sutphen. But Engine 105 had their new rig I was able to shoot. Enjoy!

The City of Fort Myers recently took delivery of some new Pierce apparatus. I was able to get Engine 14’s new rig shortly after going into service along with Engine 17’s newer engine that I’ve tried for a few years now. Enjoy!

At 07:07hrs on Sunday February 8th, St. Louis Park fire crews along with Edina, Hopkins, Minnetonka and Plymouth were paged to a house fire in the 3000 blk of Edgewood Avenue South. Dispatchers reported multiple callers on a residential structure fire. Battalion 1 reported a heavy plume of smoke in the air while en route along with Police reporting at least one person still inside. Battalion 1 arrived at a 1.5 story residential home with heavy fire on three sides. Engine 1 arrived and stretched a line. Ladder 2 assisted with a hydrant and stretched another line. Firefighters attempted a rescue from the delta side. Command requested a 2nd alarm be started bringing Richfield, Bloomington, Golden Valley, Eden Prairie, Minnetonka Air 2 and Excelsior LSU. All arriving mutual aid crews reported to the deck for further assignments. Minnetonka Battalion 1 assumed the Charlie division. Plymouth Battalion 1 was the command aid. Hopkins Chief 1 was the safety officer. One occupant was transported to the hospital with unknown injuries. Minnesota State Fire Marshals Office and the Hennepin County Fire Investigations Team were requested.

1st Alarm - St. Louis Park Battalion 1, Engine 1, Ladder 2; Edina Engine 81; Hopkins Chief 1, Chief 2, Engine 1; Plymouth Battalion 1, Engine 21; Minnetonka Battalion 1 and Engine 5.

2nd Alarm - Richfield Engine 2; Bloomington Battalion 1, Battalion 2, Engine 4; Golden Valley Battalion 2, Ladder 11; Eden Prairie Chief 3, Quint 11; Excelsior Engine 22, Utility 11 w/LSU.

At 10:06hrs on January 6th, Chaska, Carver and Chanhassen Fire Departments were called to the 1200 blk of Crest Dr. in Chaska for a reported structure fire. Chaska Chief 2 arrived at a small two story single family home with smoke showing from the eves. Chaska Engine 11 stretched a 1 ¾” line for fire attack. Chaska Chief 1 was the alpha division supervisor and Chaska Inspector 3 the alpha safety. Carver Chief 1 was the command aide. Crews located a fire in the basement near an electrical panel and it was quickly extinguished. Chanhassen Truck 1 arrived and completed overhaul on the exterior delta side near the fire. Carver Engine 12 and Chaska Tower 11 arrived and were assigned to the alpha division. Crews worked on overhaul and ventilation before clearing just after 1200hrs. CFD was also assisted by Chaska Police and Ridgeview Ambulance.
