Do you think it’s important for a staffing firm to have a pulse on the local market they’re serving?

“The difference for Secure Staffing LLC - SW Florida is that we’re your neighbor… We’re able to come to your facility and learn about you… We’re able to manage employees together.”

In this episode, we dive into Secure’s approach to working with businesses in Southwest Florida, the stigmas that come with staffing agencies, and how they save time in the hiring process.

Thank you Cassie Schultz and Kelly Reyes for joining me!

On this episode, we discuss the post-Ian cleanup efforts and what it was like for the team at Southwest Waste Services of Florida during that time.

“We were working 7 days a week for the first month and a half at the processing facilities and the hauling divisions.”

“Our employees were fantastic during this process. They wanted to be there. They wanted to get on the road.”

It was a fascinating dive into the topic and we're glad we could capture it on the show. Check out the full episode here: https://youtu.be/hufXvvgfDaE

90% of boat owners don't know this.

William I. Moore covers two basic things that yacht owners should know about how their boat works.

Educating customers is a core principal at Captain Bill Yacht Management.

When you buy a new boat, one of their first steps is providing their customers with a new vessel orientation. This simple understanding of systems on the boat can prevent tragic situations.

Captain Bill Yacht Management does a new vessel orientation with all their customers, especially new boat owners.

When you start buying these mid-large size boats, the systems become complex, the regulations are constantly changing, and you're constantly battling the salt water here in Florida.

William I. Moore and Samantha McEnhill give their customers the full rundown when buying a new boat:

- In-depth overview of the systems on the boat
- Safety requirements that need to be followed
- Recently updated laws that affect you as a boat owner
- How to make your passengers comfortable

Right now, Live Blue is offering a free boat safety inspection for any new customers, and you can learn more here: https://www.swflpodcasts.com/liveblue-safety-assessment

The biggest mistake boat owners make when they go to sell their boat: they don't keep maintenance records.

And since there's no Carfax or centralized system for this industry, it's on you as the owner to provide those records at the time of sale.

This can prolong the sales process and make it more difficult to sell your boat.

One way Captain Bill Yacht Management helps their customers is by keeping all the maintenance records in an electronic system, so when customers go to sell the boat, they can easily provide those for a smooth transaction.

has a laboratory dedicated to researching kratom.

It's no secret that kratom is on the rise; kava bars are popping up everywhere in SWFL.

However, there's a lack of research surrounding the process of processing/brewing kratom, and how it affects the plant compound. This lack of knowledge has become a driving force for Mitra-9 as they continue to research and learn more about the plant.

goes over the importance of staying persistent.

It's easy to give up when things get difficult, and it's hard to have faith when you're working without seeing any results. Regardless, the only way to reach the results we want is to keep going, and have faith in what we can do.
