My heart is pretty full looking at these photos, knowing the joy that’s coming for my friends oh-so-soon. As I told Tara, motherhood is certainly full of craziness and unknowns, but it remains the sweetest gift I have ever been given, and I would never go back 💛

I love taking photos because I love making art, and boy did we make some art this weekend ✨ I mean look at these two! Look at them! 😱🤩🤯

Seriously though, few things fill me so instantly with life and energy than getting behind the camera and in front of gorgeous humans. Everything at this past Saturday’s wedding was so beautiful, I legit could not stop taking photos, even after I was supposed to be off 🙈 At least twice, I declared to those around me that I was done, only to see the way the setting sun cut through the hay field, or to catch the couple standing together in front of a dreamy sunset window and what do you know, all of a sudden my camera’s around my neck and I’m balancing on a chair in the middle of the dance floor 😂😜

I love getting to capture these beautiful days in such beautiful ways 💛 Thank you so much and for asking me to shoot your wedding. It blessed me more than you know 🥰

Botanical Gardens sessions | Part II ✨

Boy, I haven’t posted in ages. But photos have been happening! I’m just the WORST at picking images to highlight so then none get highlighted 😝🙈

Anyway, here I am, and here are a few of my favorites from a recent maternity session for a new mom and dad and their sweet twins. Due to it being a high-risk pregnancy, they have many, many ultrasound images. I loved her idea to highlight them alongside the embroidered footies 💛

Hi friends! Now through March 30, I’m offering 30 minute photo sessions at the Greater Des Moines Botanical Gardens for $200. Spots are limited, so first come first served!

La fine print 👇🏼
🪷In order to utilize this special, the session does have to take place at the gardens and before March 30, during their open photography hours—typically between 9am and 2pm.

🪷They do cap photo groups at 12, so I can’t offer this special to groups any larger than that.

🪷 Bookings need to be made at least 2 weeks in advance so I can check availability at the gardens.

🪷They don’t allow for clothing changes there, so single outfit shoots only 🙂
