I meant to share this and never got around to it but for some reason it crossed my mind today. I had just rappelled down to climb a route, while Jeremiah Medina was climbing a different route to the right of us. Since I was climbing, I let my friend Juan Pi use my camera back up at the top and Grayson Truden let me use his camera while I waited for my turn to climb at the bottom. As I was looking around for some good photo opportunities, I noticed I had a perfect view of Jeremiah as he approached the top of his route. He posed for a photo for Juan and I just happened to be in the perfect spot to capture the perspective from the bottom! So cool to see both perspectives and each photo turned out great!

I haven't been posting here regularly in quite some time however this year I am going to get back at it! I recently did a few upgrades to my set up, including a Nikon Z6, Nikon 14-24 f/2.8 and a Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8. I'm really excited to get out and put this gear to use! Since my engagement on this page has been low, please like/share/comment so you continue to see these posts and help me build back up my exposure (no pun intended😉)

With that out of the way, I was finally able to take my new Nikon Z6 out last night and it was a blast! The skies were clear and it wasn't too cold (I was pretty bundled up). The only thing I hadn't really thought of was the moon. I saw it the other day but it was just a sliver so figured it'd be fine. Let's just say that even at a sliver, it was bright as hell. The positive part in this is that it really lit up the foreground however it did make the sky very blue and the stars aren't as brilliant. No milky way center this time of year, I'll have to wait until summer for that. Had a great time though and was really impressed with the camera! I will blow my feed up with a handful of photos today so keep checking back!

It's been a struggle to get lightning shots this year. This was literally my 3rd photo that night when the rain dumped on me and all of my gear. The gear was fine but couldn't take any more photos. The lightning was dim because the light was being blocked by a wall of rain. At least I got one?!
