Three years ago, these two tied the knot on the Summer Solstice - with vows stemming from Carl Sagan - zodiac themed seating charts and centerpieces - and frankly, one of the sweetest and most authentic ceremonies I've been privileged to witness.

So, today, Christy + AJ, happy anniversary! I wish you (and your sweet little family), only the best in all the years to come.

Eleven years ago, I never planned to stay in Idaho for the rest of my twenties, well into my thirties. Love does strange things - and life is what happened to me while I was busy making other plans for sure.

Being a storyteller for couples in love I find that now I'm inspired by golden hour light from Idaho sunsets and the rough + wild high desert terrain. I can't wait to share what I'm turning that inspiration into! - (hint... this engagement shoot will be released soon...)

I'm enamored with the beauty of the organic creations that come from Rust + Thistle.

I can't even call them arrangements. They're to die for. I'm considering creating a section of my budget for 'stunning florals' just to have some pretty in my home.

I have to ask - what's your favorite flower + color? Hands down I've LOVED brightly colored snapdragons since I was a little girl.

Looking at photos of my family over the past four years, I notice something is missing in too many of them... my face.

I LOVE photographing my family, but I am realizing that I need to exist in our photos - no matter how I look or feel - they love me because I am mom. My sweet husband also has this same struggle. I'm more than sure we're not the only ones who all too often find themselves missing in photos.

Because of this, I'm offering mini-sessions for my past clients - and their friends + family - this June. The sessions will be $275 and include up to 30 minutes on location and 15 final photos delivered digitally.

Happy early Mother's Day to all the moms I know who put themselves last daily. I hope this year, you choose to exist more in photos. xoxo
