The cheatgrass invasion is well underway along the Snake. Major points for invasive species. I was lucky to get any clear shots of the GORGEOUS HIGH DESERT WILDFLOWERS I love so much:
Vibrant Indian paintbrush,
Payette beardtongue,
other flora I can ID in my story from my lesser camera (phlox, apricot mallow, asteracea?)
and then some I can’t.

Additional sightings of Needle and Thread Grass, Milkvetch, peas, mustards and that damn Medusahead too. It feels pretty good having a foundation to ID the birds and the plants around me now! I guess it helps when you only move a few hours away instead of a couple days away!

Bought a new tripod yesterday when damage to my old tripod prevented decent tilt for astrophotography the prior night. Drove south instead of north this time and was still greeted with this sight!
