Happy 22nd Birthday to my beautiful monkey melon

From the little girl I once held in my arms to the strong, intelligent, beautiful woman you are today, being your dad has been one of the greatest gifts of my life. I hope you know how incredibly proud I am of you not only for what you’re accomplishing, but for the woman you continue to become. You have a strength all your own, a beautiful heart, and so much life still waiting for you.
No matter how old you get, where life takes you, or how much the world changes around us, you will always be my little girl. There is no distance, season, or circumstance that could ever change how deeply I love you or how grateful I am that I get to be your dad.

My wish for you this year is that you recognize your worth, trust yourself, and build a life that feels completely and authentically yours. I hope 22 brings you happiness, peace, unforgettable memories, and every reminder of just how loved you truly are.

Some shoots remind me exactly why I picked up a camera in the first place.

This was one of those shoots!

Tiffany came to me wanting something different for her birthday, bold, gritty, unapologetic and completely her. She brought an incredible group of women who were ready to go all in, and together we turned downtown Boise into our playground. And we had a Brittani Baldwin showing out as one of the creative directors! ❤️ you so much!

We had Graffiti walls. City buses. Neon lights colored lights. Fishnets, black lipstick, smoke, laughter and a whole lot of attitude.

But beyond the photographs, this shoot brought me back to having a ton of fun, pushing myself creatively and remembering what this is all about: connecting with people, chasing an idea and creating something that feels alive.

No stiff poses. No playing it safe. Just a group of women showing up exactly as they are and absolutely owning it.

Tiffany, thank you for trusting me with your vision and reminding me how damn good it feels to create without limits.

Happy birthday! You and your girls absolutely killed this.

There’s a moment before everything begins when the noise disappears.

He’s waiting.
She’s getting closer.
And then he turns around.

For one beautiful second, it’s no longer about the venue, the timeline, or everyone watching. It’s just two people seeing each other on their wedding dayand realizing, we’re really doing this.

First looks will always be one of my favorite moments to photograph because the reactions aren’t posed. They’re real. And these are the moments couples deserve to remember exactly as they felt.

And yes I’m still photographing weddings, still finding the emotion inside every story, and still absolutely loving it.

There are places you vacation.

And then there are places that quietly become part of your family’s story. ❤️

For us, Safari Beach is one of those places.
For years, we’ve packed the bags, loaded up the kids and headed back to this little piece of Osoyoos.

And somewhere along the way, without realizing it, we weren’t just taking vacations. We were watching our kids grow up.

Summer after summer.
The kids got taller.
The conversations changed.
The adventures got a little bigger.
And the little moments we barely thought about at the time became the ones I’d give almost anything to experience one more time.

Because that’s the thing about life…
Nobody taps you on the shoulder and says,
“Pay attention. You’re going to miss this someday.”

You just live it.

The wet towels.
The sandy feet.
The belly laughs.
The “Dad, watch me!”
The sunsets.
The late nights.
The entire family together with nowhere else they need to be.

And then one day you look back and realize…
Those were the good old days.

Safari Beach has held so many of those days for our family.

Which is why getting the opportunity to create this film meant something different to me.

I wasn’t just creating content for a business.

I was telling the story of a place I already knew how to feel.
And THAT is what I want to create more of with Mayne Frame Media.

I love collaborating with businesses, destinations, properties and brands to create something beyond traditional advertising.

Because your business isn't just what you sell.

It's the first night of someone's honeymoon.
The annual family vacation.
The table where everyone finally gets together.
The little shop someone discovers and never forgets.
The experience they'll tell their friends about for years.

People may forget an advertisement.

But they remember how you made them feel.

That’s the story I want to help businesses tell.

This wasn’t just another portrait session for me.
Pyper is getting ready to step into high school, and I wanted to capture who she is in this moment: the confidence beginning to emerge, the personality that is unmistakably her own, and that last little piece of childhood still holding on.

One of the greatest gifts of our story has been the family that has grown alongside it. Loving a child who lives in another country means missing some of the ordinary, everyday moments. It also means that being present for milestones like this and being trusted to preserve them feels especially meaningful.

Pyper, you are thoughtful, funny, creative, beautifully unique, and so deeply loved. I hope that when you look back at these photographs someday, you see what the rest of us already see:
an incredible young woman standing at the beginning of an exciting new chapter.

Getting to be both your "Brocccciii's" and the photographer behind these images was something I’ll always treasure.

This one hurts. 💔

Dolly Parton was such a big part of the soundtrack of my childhood. Her music brings back memories of a time, people, and places that feel like home to me.

Some artists make great music, and some somehow become woven into your life without ever knowing you. Dolly was one of those for me.

An incredible talent, but even more than that, a beautiful example of kindness, humor, generosity, and simply being unapologetically yourself.

Rest in peace, Dolly. You were truly one of a kind, and you will absolutely be missed. ❤️

Thirteen years ago, I stood behind my camera and captured this family for the very first time. None of us knew then how fast life would move… how kids would grow, how seasons would shift, and how many stories would unfold in the space between those frames.
Today, I had the privilege of photographing them again, older, wiser, and even more connected. Watching a family grow through my lens is one of the greatest honors of what I do. These photos aren’t just pictures… they’re a reminder of how precious time really is.
The holidays are coming fast, and I have only a few openings left over the next couple of weeks. If you’ve been meaning to update your family photos or want something meaningful for Christmas, now is the moment before the season slips away.
