Snowy conditions made these cross river shots challenging, but I was determined to find my favorite species perched somewhere in the snow. Two different locations produced 2 different females. More zoom would’ve been nice. Anybody else looking forward to the upcoming Sony 400-800mm G ??

Took a short walk along the Boise River this afternoon and found my favorite bird. I watched her for a few minutes and saw her swoop down into the river and catch an afternoon snack. I was too slow to get a shot of her diving into the river but someday I’ll get it.

It was a wet and rainy day out on the Boise River today, but after searching around a bit I was able to find my favorite species, a female Belted Kingfisher. The steady rain didn’t seem to bother her much.
