One whole year! That’s how long it’s been since I’ve been active here—but I’M BACK, and there’s so much to catch up on! First, the people-pleaser in me feels like I owe you a little explanation…
During my time as a full-time photographer, I burned out. I needed to step back, focus on myself, and figure out what I truly wanted for not only Varie Photography, but also other creative pursuits. Over the past year, I’ve learned so much—mostly that I need human interaction every day. Working solo full-time just wasn’t fulfilling that for me, and honestly, my clients weren’t getting the best version of me. I never planned to be away for a full year, but I’m so grateful I was— it gave me the space to reflect, reset, and get excited about creating again. So, thank you to everyone who gave me the grace to do that, and to those who still reached out to book with me. I never wanted to quit altogether.
Now, here’s what I’ve been up to:
• I work in marketing full-time in the floral industry with some of my closest friends—learning all about growing a brand and making the coolest connections.
• I GOT ENGAGED! Can’t wait to marry the love of my life ( ). ❤️
• We bought a house in Eagle, ID! A fresh start for this next chapter.
• Graduated with my Associate’s Degree!
• Traveled, tried new things, attended my first Steelers home game, and even took up golfing!
Photography still has my heart, and I’ve learned what truly fulfills me creatively. Capturing portraits, couples, and (on occasion) weddings always leave me feeling so inspired — and I’ve also learned that I LOVE creating all types of content. So, going forward, I’ll be taking on a limited number of sessions each month—so I can show up fully for my clients and create work that makes me proud. I’m so excited to be back and to capture all life’s best moments! ✨📸🫶🏼
