The “burying the sausage” and paying Etsy witches for good weather on a wedding day seems to be working pretty well these last few years. A little throwback to my first couple to do this, Nicolette & James, who’s rainy day forecast turned into one of the prettiest days of the year.

Absolutely love photographing my couples’ details as soon as I arrive on the wedding day. Marissa’s black-and-white details were so beautiful, but I couldn’t find a great pocket of harsh light inside the house. So I took everything outside and used the backyard table instead. Nicole & Ryan’s day in Montauk was so special. Early morning clouds gave way to sunny skies just in time for their beautiful and emotional ceremony. Afterward, these two partied like crazy, surrounded by their favorite people, and it was truly an honor to capture every moment of it.
