It’s been a while since I’ve shown my face around here, so hi! I’m Anna, the photographer behind Anna Renae Photography 🌞

I photograph weddings, elopements, couples, and families, and somehow, this little dream of mine has officially become my full-time career…which still feels completely crazy to say!

My approach has always been about more than taking beautiful photos. I want you to feel comfortable, have fun, and be completely present with the people you love. I’ll guide you when you need it, fix the little details, and hype you up the entire time. But I’ll also step back and capture the real, in-between moments as they happen. My goal is for your photos to feel like you while still having that dreamy, cinematic, and editorial touch I love so much.

At the beginning of this year, I wrote down some pretty big goals for myself and this business. I’ve already blown my income goal out of the water, traveled to so many beautiful places, made some amazing new friends, and was even featured in Authentic Love Magazine…which was one of those little goals I quietly hoped I could accomplish this year 🥹

More than anything, this business has been such a blessing to me and my family. It has allowed us to travel, make some of our favorite memories, and build a life that I’m incredibly grateful for.

None of this would be possible without the people who trust me with their visions, weddings, families, and some of the most meaningful moments of their lives. Whether you’ve booked me, referred me, shared my work, encouraged me, or simply followed along…thank you. Truly 🤍

The Oregon Coast was truly a dream 🌞🌾

Yas + Mich came all the way from South Africa to run around the beach with us, and their chemistry was UNREAL 🥹

So playful, so in love, and so effortless to capture. I’m beyond grateful I got to document a little piece of their love while they were here 🤍

Safe to say I need more Oregon Coast sessions ASAP ✈︎

A dream proposal with the giraffes…her FAVORITE animal?! Say no more 🦒💍

Brooke + Cody had already spent a couple of days at Ox Ranch hunting, exploring, and basically having the time of their lives… and then Cody had one more surprise planned for the Fourth of July 🇺🇸

He put so much thought into this proposal and planned out every little detail… except apparently no one told the giraffes they were supposed to stick to the plan 😂 We searched what felt like half the ranch trying to find them, and when we FINALLY did, Cody got down on one knee and popped the question right in front of one of the ranch’s favorite bull giraffes + the rest of the herd watching from a short distance!

Brooke was basically jumping for joy the entire evening, and getting engaged in front of her favorite animal was the absolute cherry on top of an already unforgettable weekend 🥹

A Fourth of July they’ll definitely never forget 💍🦒🤍

🤍 FLOOD RELIEF FUNDRAISER WAFFLE FOR MY FAMILY 🤍

Like so many families in Uvalde affected by the recent flooding, several members of my family experienced significant flood damage to their homes. None of them had flood insurance because they were not located in a designated flood plain…something that has unfortunately become the reality for many families after this historic flood.

If you know my family, you know they are the kind of people who would give the shirt off their back to help someone else. They are also the last people who would ever ask for help themselves, which is exactly why I’m asking on their behalf.

This fundraiser will benefit three households that were all impacted by the flooding:
🤍 Nathan & Cara Hiebert (my parents)
🤍 Ryan & Casy Sanford (my uncle and aunt)
🤍 Ted & Ann Sanford (my grandparents)

The funds raised will be divided between these families to help with flood recovery, including home repairs and replacing furniture, appliances, and other everyday essentials that were lost. Some homes sustained more damage than others, so we’ll distribute the funds where they’re needed most.

As a way to help, I’m waffling off a Signature 1-hour photography session with Anna Renae Photography ($550+ value).

📸 Prize: One 1-hour photography session (couples, families, maternity, seniors, or graduates)
💛 100% of the proceeds will go directly toward helping these three families recover.

It may not even make a dent in the total cost of getting things back to normal, but my hope is to raise $2,400 to help lighten the burden, even in a small way. Every spot purchased truly makes a difference.

Once all 80 spots are filled, I’ll do a live random drawing to announce the winner.

I guess it could’ve been the perfect time to post these a couple weeks ago when our feeds were full of AI photos of Gracie the escaped giraffe, but I figured they might get lost in the mess.

Anywaysssss here are some photos of some REAL majestic giraffes I had the honor of doing a photoshoot with for Elizabeth’s 17th birthday a few weeks ago 🤭 (Happy belated birthday sweet girl!)

What an insane experience!!! And literally 2 weeks later I got to do a surprise proposal with more giraffes on another ranch! The life of a south texas photographer is always so full of surprises 😍

Important side note: my hometown of Uvalde is currently in a historic flood and we would greatly appreciate it if everyone could keep us in your prayers as we navigate through the high waters, housing and feeding people who had to evacuate their homes, and dealing with the devastation and cleanup after everything recedes in a couple days ❤️ But I know we will make it through and be okay.

Dreamy bridals from a styled shoot that I held awhile back using a $25 vintage dress I got from a thrift store that deserved a second chance in front of the camera 💍🌸

I wish I knew the story behind this dress 🥹 It’s so dreamy and I’m sure it was worn by a gorgeous woman in its previous life. The lace detailing is immaculate even though it’s very aged.
