A gift from my heart 💗
I wanted to capture Karis (who is like a daughter to me ) Webb and their adorable pup Benson in a portrait to celebrate their union and love for each other.

I love you KARIS WEBB!
Thrilled for your next chapter!! 💕

Painting portraits is very much like life. Each layer is like chapters of our seasons, exposing depth and texture that tells the story that only unfolds with time.
So grateful to capture this special bond!

Looking for new references to painting.

My favorite way to paint portraits—especially sweet little ones—is starting entirely in black, white and gray aka Grisaille.
Mapping out the light and shadows first makes layering on those soft skin tones so much easier.
There’s nothing quite like watching the color bring her to life! What do you think?
