The Valley has a rare opportunity to see the Union Pacific Big Boy No. 4014. It was built in 1941 and is the world's largest operating steam locomotive.
The Union Pacific Big Boy is stopping in the heart of downtown Struthers at the railroad crossing located between Donavito's and Selah tomorrow between 11:30 a.m. and noon.
21 News will have complete coverage beginning with WFMJ Today from 7:00-8:00 a.m. and 9:00-10:30 a.m. In addition, we will be LIVE streaming the locomotive's arrival on wfmj.com and the 21 News app. We will have special drone coverage and a complete wrap-up during 21 News 6 P.M.
A full lineup of entertainment is planned throughout the day, before and after the train makes its appearance at 11:30 a.m. Performances are set to take place on stage in front of the ECMSI building at 158 S. Bridge Street.

Food trucks will be on hand, and a designated outdoor refreshment area (DORA) will be in place, with no drinking permitted within the area where the train will stop.
Several street closures will be in effect throughout the downtown area of Struthers. The city has noted that the entire downtown event area will be designated as a "spectator-only zone" during the event.
Public parking will be available on Struthers' 28-acre riverfront property along the Mahoning River; permitted lots will be reserved for volunteers and vendors. Handicap parking will be located at WesBanco.
