This year will mark my 32nd Arts Festival here in State College, a town that holds a very special place in my heart. It’s the birthplace of my passion for photography and the foundation upon which I’ve built my career. From the moment I picked up a camera, State College became the canvas that allowed me to express my creativity and share my vision with the world.
This small town has a big personality – a vibrant energy that pulses through its streets, and a deep appreciation for the arts. It’s a place where dreams are nurtured, where stories unfold, and where the beauty of everyday life is captured in fleeting moments. Through my lens, I strive to encapsulate the essence of the area – its rich history, its ever-evolving landscape, and the emotions that stir within its residents, alumni and visitors.
One of my proudest accomplishments is the series of photographs featuring the historic Penn State elm trees in their full glory. These majestic giants have witnessed generations come and go, and I feel privileged to have immortalized their beauty through my art. Each photograph is a testament to the resilience and timeless charm of State College and Penn State University.
But my work is not just about capturing landmarks; it’s about connecting with people. State College is a melting pot of memories for those who have passed through its streets. It holds a special place in their hearts, and it brings me immense joy to share my perspective with them. Through my photographs, I aim to evoke emotions, spark nostalgia, and create a sense of belonging.
I invite you to embark on a visual journey through my collection. Explore the hidden corners, the familiar scenes, and the breathtaking landscapes that make this town truly unique. Let my photographs transport you to a place where time stands still, and where the beauty of everyday life is celebrated.
Welcome to my world behind the lens.
I hope to see you at Booth A-64 !
