I will be out chasing this setup LIVE! Be on the lookout!!
The Midwest Wx team is tracking an active severe weather day expected Monday across portions of Iowa, Wisconsin, and western Upper Michigan, where an Enhanced Risk for severe thunderstorms is in place.
Storms are expected to develop during the afternoon and evening along a cold front. Initial storms will likely be discrete supercells capable of producing large hail, damaging winds, and tornadoes. The greatest tornado potential extends from northeast Iowa across much of Wisconsin, where a few tornadoes could become strong if storms remain isolated.
As storms evolve through the evening, they may organize into clusters or a QLCS Line, increasing the threat for widespread damaging winds while large hail will be possible.
If you live in the affected area, now is the time to review your severe weather plan, make sure you have multiple ways to receive warnings, and be prepared to take shelter quickly if warnings are issued. Stay weather aware throughout the day tomorrow as conditions can change rapidly.
Midwest Wx will be providing live field coverage throughout the event. Stay safe and continue to monitor the latest forecasts and warnings
